1. Why is the pitch watered so heavily? Is it just so the kids doing the half time relay slip up? 2. It's rumored that the aforementioned half time relay is being done away with. What will replace it in terms of half time entertainment?
Well some sort mobile phone connection would help. It's like a black whole inside the staduim for reception. It would be nice to find out what's happening in the other games or stats for the current saints match, replays of the goals etc
I guess there is stuff we would like to know that no one truly knows the answer to like who will be the next really big breakthrough player to make an impact from the academy. Then there are rumours that could be confirmed like the reason and timing behind pardews sacking.
I would like to know the nitty gritty about the Jose Danni altercation...... Did AP have a drink problem which helped lead to his sacking?
Actually, I think the club do tell us things but we don't always listen. Take Les Reeds statement for example. It was only made a few weeks ago and was fairly clear. We all know that it's possible that ridiculous money might be offered for a player so never say never, but he stated that our best players are not for sale and we don't need to sell. Take the Chairmans interview where he said that KL felt strongly interested in the club and was not about to sell up and move on. Yet look at the posts on the stay or go threads. It's naive to expect a "Luke is staying" statement on the OS because there is alway the stupid offer which Saints might accept as being a good deal. BTW, I have no interest in knowing the tittle-tattle about historic personal conflicts whatsoever, I get 4G on my phone in the stadium and really think that the club communicate as well as most companies do.
Good post Channon. Les Reed also said "we won't say no-one will go" which was obviously referring to those academy boys and the likes of Barnard, Forte, and so on who have been released. He couldn't name names at the time as they might not have made their minds up.
Yes I agree. The issue is and always will be how people interpret statements and the expectations on club communication. We all care too much and are all so emotional attached that we are desperate for good news and fear any bad news. Happy days for the media sharks and trolls.
Watch it matey. I know I'm not young enough to know everything but I do know quite a lot. The thing is I am the deep silent type and rather sadly there are those that do all the talking never letting anyone else get a word in which means they end up thinking they are the only one who knows what they are talking about.
Actually, I have changed my mind. I now demand a statement from the OS to the effect that; Shaw will not be sold even if someone offers the price of two Luke Shaws. Lallana will not be sold unless we are offered Messi and £100m, plus a 2 year loan-back arrangement. Mauricio will not be leaving. Several members of his family are enjoying the club's hospitality at a secret location. He can see them again once that 5 year contract has been signed. Katherina Liebherr will not be selling the club. Her shares in the club have been deposited in a trust which also contains half her personal wealth. This would be transferred to a supporters trust should she not attend one home fixture. Would that satisfy some of you?
Yep, good post CF. FWIW, I think the club have been fairly communicative and that some people don't listen, or read, or view. Les Reed's statement was pretty damn clear, in my view. It even stopped the media in their tracks for a day or two. Anything since has been pure speculation.
