because of previous inept governments we as a country are fooked energy wise. We are having to import from Germany and Russia or the lights go out. We all know Russia uses gas as a bargaining chip and a weapon, just look at Georgia or Ukraine where they get the gas turned off if they dont pay or do what Russia wants.

Due to these dick head past governments we followed EU guidelines and closed down coal powere power stations. This closed down mines and put hundreds of thousands on the dole. This also pushed up prices as we didnt have enough energy. yet Germany are still building coal powered power stations and digging up more coal because they need it. Lunacy!! We now have to rely on a French company and Chinese technicals to build a Nuclear station ffs which will take a coons age to complete and may never work. Idiots have screwed us all over and we pay a green surcharge on top of that to save the fooking planet. Joke.

So I dont give a fook where fracking fields are because we need them on line as fast as possible, wherever they are. USA has stopped importing from Suadi so they can have full energy security and mass employment. Think about the country not your political views, unless you are a Corbynista who would rather see is as an Islamic state run by a bunch of Birka wearing leftlibs

Don't go there. We are having all sorts of problems here with fracking and ground water. Thimk very carefully!

 

You have to make the best of the resources you have,would of thought Solar was your way to go.

 

Two reasons against that in my opinion. One is that i do not believe that wind, or solar power can produce enough energy to supply a decent sized town on it's own and two, have you ever seen a solar power plant? Acres of bloody panels looking like a static lake without the attendant wildlife or a 'wind farm', a forest of ugly bloody windmills blighting the landscape like a gang of morons waving their arms in the air producing enough power for a good sized village as long as the wind blows.

 

Some of the ladies I know say solar and wind cannot supply enough power for a good sized vibrator, but it costs 3 times as much to produce

 

Spot on Doc. Whilst they might not be the prettiest things you've ever seen, Fracking wells will eventually save people a serious amount of money on their electricity bills

 

We don't get enough sun in the UK for solar to be anything other than a token green option. And wind turbines have to be turned off if it gets too windy. Honest!!!
