I never said Barkley was a winger you whopper. Lallana and the Ox are primarily wingers though, as is Sterling - so that makes 3 you ****tard. Barkley is an attacking mid who doesn't work hard enough off the ball. But I suppose you're going to try and tell me that you know better, even though I watch him in the flesh every week ffs. I also never said that Welbeck and Rooney deserved their places, and I think Henderson is average, so I make that a full house in terms of being completely wrong from you there, well done.
Smelly little pleb friend Thats brilliant to be fair. Sensational stuff. Anyway, on topic some good line ups here bar livtors which i think we can all agree lacks cover. Its something you would use in fifa. Loads of pace, ignore tye defence and midfield as most of the game is spent pressing triangle and holding sprint before crossing. To play 433 you need 3 proper centre mids. At least one holding midfielder and if possible a b2b midfielder.
Hea confusing our two very seperate responses to his nonsense. Hes confused and is lashing out. Kids eh?
What derail. He posted his formation and it was discussed. He took offense for whatever reason. Thats his problem. It looks like if we take away the tribalism most of us are thinking along the same lines. Play rooney and everyone else in their best positions or dont play them. After that its all opinions.
...........anyway....... Sturridge probably out injured for Uruguay so Rooney will be up front now. Supported by Barkley, Sterling and Oxlade hopefully (though Welbeck will probably start ahead of the Ox).
Befitting a bad wum, Toblerone tears into "invisible" shreds another poster's proposal whilst his own proposal remains invisible. Where the fu*k was Antonio Horse Valencia today btw? Exactly.
Sturridge out means 1 up top again. Though welbeck and rooney could pair up but not convinced. Both like to drop deep so would need one to play right up top for it to work. We dont need wingers. So i see no need to play ox from the start. I would start with my 532 and later in the game bring on the pace of ox. Put lambert on for welbeck around the same time and go 442 if need be and get the ball in the box against tired (hopefully disheartened) guays.
Very maybe taking a backwards step in terms of tactics but maybe revert to 4-4-2 Same gk/back 4 Ox, Gerrard, henderson, sterling Rooney, sturridge Gives rooney his best position (and no excuse to under perform), covers the full backs, and gives ligthening pace of wing
Considering Gerrard will always drop back to that position these days and our fullbacks will always push up, it's basically a 4-4-2 diamond - which I would agree suits us better. I don't think Wilshere deserves a starting spot, but not sure who else could play there and give enough energy box to box. I do think it's unfair to drop Welbeck after that performance though and he really offers a lot defensively when he plays.
Welbeck like Valencia are "horses" merely one level above "workhorse". Henderson, and I love the guy, is half-a-dimension above "horse" status. It is a pity, very annoying to a football fan, when multidimensional talents like Barkley, Lallana and Ox do not get the game time they deserve. Sterling, Lallana, Ox and Barkley can certainly coexist. The CM role can be claimed by any of the latter three.
Should suit us great then. Carrick would be even better if he was im the squad and jones is another option. For me we need to protect the defence and we need to protect the midfield so we need a player in that role. Johnson and shaw are wingbacks as well, primarily their to provide width and attack. Defending is left to the centrebacks and the gerrard role. Gerrard is almost a sweeper dm, ive just made that up but its a centreback who ventures a little further forward but isnt seen bombing forward like gerrard of yesteryear. Maybe jones would be better suited to that role and leave gerrard out completely. Make rooney captain instead.
