    I think that Pards will keep a core of his regular starting 11 with Santon, Marv, and HBA getting starts. I woul expect Gosling and Vickic to feature as 2nd half subs.

    I don't think Pardew will make too many changes as we've a great opportunity to progress in the Cup and with a bit of luck in the draw we could be in the semi-finals.

    Two guaranteed lower division teams will be in the next round:

    Cardiff, Burnley, Palace or Southhampton.

    Exactly what I have been thinking. With a bit of luck you can easily get to the final. One of the Championship teams at home in the quarter's and then the other championship team could get someone like Stoke (they could easily knock out Liverpool at home) and over two legs you would expect to beat them.

    However this is Newcastle and if we beat Blackburn we'd get away to Man City in the quarter's.

    Just picked this up from NUFC.com

    BRFC: To follow. Scott Dann and Michel Salgado are both doubts while Ryan Nelsen and David Dunn remain out.

    After losing 1-2 at Ewood to Spurs on Sunday, Rovers come into this game on the back of a four match winless run consisting of three defeat and a draw (away to QPR).

    To reach this stage, Steve Kean's side won successive home ties against League One opposition, beating Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 and Leyton Orient 3-2. Just 8,607 fans watched the Owls tie however, while only 7,104 turned out to see the O's.
