In a post on the Club site today Felix said,

“I have told the players I will give everybody the chance to play,” Magath stated. “I cannot let everybody play in the first game, so I will have changes in the next games.”

“It depends how we play and how the result goes. If we have a good game and good result, we will not change so much. If we have no result, like on Saturday, we have to change something.”

So it sounds as though he’s going to mix things up again but in fact I don’t think he’ll do too much. Probably limited to bringing Hutchinson back in place of Burgess (as much because two game in such a short time is asking a lot for the young man). And, although I wouldn’t, David also back.

The main question is who he’ll play in front of McCormack who must be a cert to start. Hugo didn’t really do an awful lot on Saturday which could open the door for Woodrow and of course we’ve yet to see Taggart (although don’t know where he is injury wise).

So, I reckon the starting line-up will be:

Again no natural wide men, but we can expect to see Roberts at some point and maybe also Chihi.
 
Going with the team I'd like to see start rather than trying to guess which 11 Felix will go with (which is impossible anyway), the only changes I'd make to the team Cottager58 has put up are to stick with Burgess over Hutchinson, for now, and also to give Roberts a start in place of David. I think Roberts deserves a start and hopefully having him on will put us in an attacking mind-set from the off. David looks to be an attack minded player too but as yet there doesn't seem to be much end product from him, he will do all the hard work and breeze past 5 men then either shoot miles wide or throw an aimless ball into the box and nothing will come of it.

Very hopeful for this game, the players have had a couple of games now to see what this league is all about and realise it's going to be a long hard season. We can't afford to start falling too far behind the main competitors for promotion even at this early stage so let's get some much needed early points on the board.

Quite agree about falling behind, 2/3 consecutive defeats and we are in deep s..t
 
Considering we face a trip to Derby after this we really can't afford to drop points here.

I'm not going to even try guess the line-up, I just want to see us scoring some goals.
 
Roberts and Woodrow and Kavannagh all in. Hyndman and Rodders out. I thought Hyndman was terrific in the second half in his faviured position. Maybe a rest is good?

I know I kep harping on but playing the youngsters is great. Well done FM.

We'll be out muscled I'm sure but hopefully we can score tonight.
 
Do people like seeing all these changes for every match? Personally I like a bit of continuity, I could understand if the changes were necessary but they all seem very random and just for the sake of giving players game time. It's still early days so obviously Felix wants to give players chances and to see what they can do but players could start getting frustrated if one week they're starting and then the next they're not even involved in the matchday squad, Hyndman for example who has done nothing wrong and has been one of the positives in the matches we've lost. I just hope Felix can start to put together his 'best 11' and then work around it, tinker when needed and for a bit of freshness in the squad.

Hyndman was always going to be rested here, but I'm a little surprised that Burgess is playing his third game in ten days. That Kaca is not even on the bench tonight very much suggests to me he'll be leaving in the next ten days. Two up front is good, not sure Roberts is ready to start but its a great chance for him.

Time to find out if Fotheringham is the next Danny Murphy...
 
I'm looking forward to seeing what Kavanagh can do. I've been keeping an eye on our Irish youngsters for obvious reasons. His inclusion will also give Stafylidis the freedom to get forward more often which could be great. Fotheringham in midfield alongside Parker is a huge worry but Woodrow and McCormack up front looks promising.

If anybody anywhere in the world predicted this line-up they should be burned for witchcraft.
 
Fulham not having a good start to life back in the championship atm. Not sure you have the right manager as he wants to please all his players instead of picking the best team....strange tactics in my book.....
 
Derby had a blip at the weekend but they're quality. Brentford will be out for blood Vs their old rivals, and Cardiff are Cardiff. It's hard to see where Fulham's first win comes from
 
I watched the game with a friend, and a Chelsea coach, who in my opinion made an accurate summing up
as follows. A very talented team, devoid of any managerial technical know how.
Hyndman, by far our best player where was he, also Dan Burn, someone who credited himself last season in the championship
And to include Fotheringham a player who would not be on the bench in a conference side.
3 more consecutive defeats and for me it bye bye Felix we cannot go on in this fashion against teams who are not even considered contenders.
Jeronin improving each game, but must work on his distribution Parker so so, Mc Cormack must get fit, Roberts, dont try and
do it all on your own. The remainder require guidance something they had under Steve Wigley,but are sadly lacking at the present regime.

I missed the Millwall game but went tonight eagerly wanting to see this new young talent and brave project that Magath has taken on. Have to say it was a real mess.

There is certainly some prospects there but we did not play as a team and didn't seem to have any game plan. The game was fast and furious and we were all over the place. Up front we lacked width and space, our corners were poor and only had one shot which was from 30 yards. Highlight from a Fulham point of view was young Roberts run down the right in the second half but he took on too much in the end but he's certainly a player.

I think we need a bit more experience to help these youngsters. If we don't get a few points soon confidence will be hit and it could be a very bad season. It's very much down to the manager to get this team playing as a team and once it gels then they could be very good. From tonight's performance they are some way off that.

Lastly, credit to Wolves, they deserved the win and could have won by more.
