As much as I love Kit his inability to make subs at key points in the game is killing us.

    It appears we have.

Agree the lack of changes is bemusing. Perhaps Kit hasn't got much faith in his bench? Difficult to say.

The dodgy second half problem persists, difficult to know what to pin it on. I can remember that being a problem for us as far back as when Roy was in charge. It's certainly been the norm for the duration of this season.

Nearly certain it's a mentality thing and the more that's made of it, the more it affects the players.

I feel both relieved that we salvaged a point and frustrated that we didn't get all three. They were certainly there for the taking but I predicted a draw before the game and it's probably about right. Still think we need a dominating midfield enforcer in the team.

Well. The Championship certainly isn't dull. I got Gentleman Jim back for the second half. Wigan finished in the play offs last season and came into the game off the back of a win at Derby. I'll take a battling point away from home, although are we being too open on the road? That's two 3-3 draws in a row. Agree with you Ireland that we need a Diarra type player.

Speaking of which, one Dickson Etuhu was at the game today, and has been to a fair of ours this season. He's 32 and a free agent. I don't think we should sign him to play alongside Parker, but he'd be great cover, IMO.

I obviously saw the score and the main talking points but did anyone who went to the game comment on the performance???

Seems that we put a good performance. We can score goals this season but we continue to leak goals...

Kit needs to sort out the defence if we are supposed to climb up...

Stayed-up to watch the Football League Show, and we are on umpteenth, after at least one 0-0 draw. I thought last on MOTD was bad but this was 3-3!!!

I read a stat yesterday that said we've scored the joint-most away goals in the league, but only have 5 points from 24 (or something similar), which says it all.

The positive slant is that under Magath, we'd go behind and that would be curtains. We shouldn't forget how much of a mess we were just a month or so ago.

Absolutely. This team has fight and they don't know when they're beaten (Tuesday night doesn't count). When could we last say that?

Took a while to get going in this game and the penalty knocked us back, but the team rallied well, a well taken goal by Christensen from a smart pass by Parker. The 2nd was started by Ruiz then to Wiiliams? then onto McCormack and finished by Ruiz with his chest, but at the time I thought McCormack had floated it in directly.
Usual second half with the defense backing off and allowing Wigan time on the ball.
Thought both fullbacks had poor games. Thought Bettinelli could have done better with both goals, Christensen had a good game and Parker Rallied the team late in the game so heads didn't drop, and when Hugo got the penalty think it was justice as both teams had times during the game when they were on top. I would have been upset if we hadn't got a point, and when if our defense was better could have got all 3.

Can anyone expand on McCormack's second yellow yesterday? GJ said there was a flare-up between him and McClean, but didn't say much more than that.

We scored 4 goals in 7 league games conceding 18 under Magath and acquiring 1 pt

We scored 16 goals in 8 league games conceding 11 under Kit and acquiring 14 pts and now 4th in the form guide for the last 6 games.

We are now doing pretty good and have 2 home games on the trot to come in the next week.

Yes there is room for improvement but we have come a long long way from disaster in a short time, with a bunch of kids LOL.

    Great set of stats 2whitestripes.
Agree, we've come a long way. We'd be even further if we could play 90 minutes without dropping deep and conceding. Just a small gripe. But we're doing alright.

What amazes me is with the points we've acquired we aren't higher up the table. But that's the championship for you. We start getting points and so do the bottom 7 clubs!

Don't forget we gave everyone else a headstart by doing sweet FA for the first 8 games!

    Also, C58's silence is deafening...

I have said it before we desperately need a solid midfielder and (attacking, defending full back), pretty sure Kit can identify
these frailties we have, but has done wonders in galvanising and confidence building with those at his disposal, a great young squad
who hopefully with improve as time goes bye. My other concern is Bettinelli, his agility no problem, but lacks both positional and a
dominate command of his area, this you cannot have as the last line of defence.
