To be perfectly honest with you, I would set out to [crock] give pretty flowers to a few of your Swans if I were manager. The Rs cannot compete on a skills level - they are that bad and the Swans are streets ahead - so they've gotta get physical with them and let 'em know they're there. If we give them too much time on the ball, they're perfectly capable of exploiting it. So get physical, don't give them time on the ball, and make them wanna lose it ASAP. Got any more names for me?
The difference was a point was a good result against those teams, a point isnt a good result against Swansea although our 1st half has not changed that. we are too defensive, they have 7 forward when they get the ball. We have 1 or 2 on 6 when we have the ball. playing a 4141 and Derry is the cause of that. Derry is awful in a 2 man CM and we have no threat when we play him in a 3 man CM.
Lets get Zamora (for Derry) on up-top, Adel playing off him; switch the wingers and replace Mbia with Granero before he gets sent off.
Ok. I'll leave you to your one man crusade against Derry. A lot of us think he's been one of our better players this season and I'd certainly get Mackie out of the team before Derry. We can't keep the ball....that's not all Derry's fault. Not going to get into any further discussion, as I know you're like a dog with a bone. Let's just agree to differ on Derry eh?
Something like that should have been done about 30 mins ago. Why wait until HT and remove 30 mins of time to try and get 2 goals back, it makes no sense. Trying anything is better than carrying on with an awful formation thats not working.

Its not just Derry, its the formation which is the only one he can play in. In order to accommodate a poor player, we have to play an even worse formation which results in a landslide of attacks against us.
I agree about the formation. I've always wanted 4-2-3-1 and I can't understand why we don't employ it.
He thought wed get hammered. a 4141 should only be used against the top 4 away from home and changed as soon as we go a goal down. Today Id go 4231 and make all 3 changes at HT. There is nothing to lose. Bring on Granero for Derry, JB for Mackie and Zamora for Taarabt (to save a red card) and go longer. We didnt play a 4231 as Derry is not mobile enough to play as one of the 2. He ends up chasing shadows.

Really hope he doesn't this time. We've got nothing to lose, so we might as well throw some long-balls up to BZ, if only to avoid their midfield. Don't wanna get too critical of HR, but playing the partnership of Derry and Mbia has already been shown to be wholly inadequate at passing the ball - pretty depressing really.
