It's not a case of me being blinkered regarding Mahrez. It's more a case of others not accepting that he has weaknesses and forgiving him for not showing commitment to the rest of the team. Fair play, today Mahrez played well, showed much more enthusiasm than I thought he would, and took his goal well. Let's see how long that attitude lasts, but on that performance he deserves a starting role in the next match. No question about that. The point I was making about playing him just behind Vardy is that, compared to how Okazaki plays that role, it weakened us in the centre of midfield, and that was something that the manager obviously saw because he reverted to playing him out wide today. Agreed it wasn't Mahrez's fault that he had been asked to play that role, but it clearly left us unacceptably vulnerable.

Mahrez getting back to the form we know he is capable of. Gray did well again today but we lost control of the game when Iborra came off

I was expecting a draw because it always is!
Frustrating we had plenty of chances to win that, some encouraging signs again but still areas to work on.
Unfortunately Iborra having to come off altered things for us. Hopefully he'll be fine after the break.

His importance to us has been obvious to all over the last 4 or 5 games ... with him and Gray obviously enjoying their football we have arguably the best two wide men in the EPL ... Man City aren't bad mind <whistle>

Felt the performance was improved from Puels first match, but the result was worse, hey ho, at least we were in front for a change rather than coming back for a point. Iborra had a good match, still not convinced that he can perform like that weekly, certainly a better option than King atm though.

Shame we didn't score one of our better chances, then again, glad Schmeichel was on fire too! Draw seemed like a fair result.

Mahrez has certainly upped his game since Puel has arrived, felt Gray suffered by being put back on the left, did pretty well, but feel he was performing better on the right vs Everton.
