Time for Potter to show up or **** off.

Aubamayang or Datro Fofana
Havertz Felix Hernandez Kovacic Gallagher
Chillwell Badiaschielle Chalobah James
Kepa


Start with a proper striker,
Play Havertz in his best position
Mix Hernandez with a defensive mid ( Kovacic) who can also attack.) Gallagher for his persistence, Felix as our best chance of a goal
Chilwell and James , no brainers, Chalobah and Badaschiel our future.

Trust the youth, trust the quality, balance the team.

I’d be amazed if Potter and Co. are not sacked after this 0-1 defeat to bottom of the table Southampton.
 
Closer to the relegation zone than the top 4 places.

As soon as we concede a goal it’s hard for us to win a game. Once we went 1-0 down there was no way we’re doing better than a draw.

Team selection was a shock, no confidence at all with any of our players but to leave out arguably our two most important ones with a week until the next game is a real bizarre decision.

I’m all for sticking with GP but things to have to start looking up eventually because 1 win in 10 isn’t good enough. Took some forward steps with the Dortmund performance and had we gone onto win today things might have started to look up. Too many changes to the team imo and can’t leave out our two most important players in the same game, hopefully they’ll learn the lesson from that.

This was all the evidence required to see that Potter is not able to install any teamwork or passion in these players. If he has a plan, it is invisible to onlookers, if he has a style he is trying to impose, good luck trying to work it out. If he gets the sack, which is highly likely, he should use his millions in severance money to find a nice Newsagents or corner shop somewhere, because it appears to me that's about all he can manage.
Boehly has to take the blame for this situation, and hopefully has learned that money buys great players, but great Managers create great teams, and he sacked a great Manager for Potter.

Only a few days ago it was reported Boehly stated Potter's there for 'years not months'

Think they see him like Arteta.

Like Arteta they think he's a capable emerging manager who plays good attacking football, and looking at the time Arteta's taken to get Arsenal to the position they're in, they think Potter will emulate that.

What it suggests though, is that unlike the ethos under Abramovich, it seems like Boehly wants to build a team that grows together and is there for years to come. That's how I see Arsenal's build under Arteta and I'm assuming Boehly wants the same under Potter.

I get that, but I'm certain Boehly doesn't. Arsenal didn't spend nearly 600 million on players in 6 months for Arteta like Boehly did for Potter.( or was it Tuchel?)
Boehly definitely made big mistakes with his gung-ho "look at me i've got billions" wastage on duds like Sterling, Cucurella and Koulibaly.
He also paid miles over the odds for almost every player he signed, pissing off most of the team who saw their personal market values diminished. Then there's the wages, 250gs for Cucurella, 80 for Mount, 300gs for Sterling and Koulibaly, a 250gs a week new contract for Reece James to sit in the hospital ward for 15 weeks while Mount busts his bollocks for 80. Talk about a disastrous way to create team spirit, the man is a clueless amateur.
So here we are with Boehleys Manager, Boehleys players, plummeting like a shot down Chinese balloon with not a sign of improvement in Team play ,nor any player in the team playing better.
Are the new owners just obscenely rich and arrogant dopes, why is the Team so dysfunctional, why are the original players so very, very unhappy, and the whole Club lacking any kind of togetherness ??
I dunno, does anyone??
This sort of mess should have been foreseeable when American Venture Capitalists with no football expertise were allowed by the FA to own a PL Club.
Money talks , but unfortunately for Chelsea our money doesn't understand English.

Should never have sacked Tuchel to bring in Potter. The British government should never have been allowed to confiscate Chelsea FC from Abramovich. That’s the way I see it as a Chelsea FC supporter.

Who knows? They may turn out to be good owners. Be great if they sorted the stadium out, which Roman had given up on.

Don't forget you spent a lot of time slagging off Thomas Tuchel, Roman's transfer policy, not playing the kids, Marina, Emenaldo, Bruce Buck on here. People's memories are very short

To be fair he only gave up on it because he saw what was coming down the road.
He was all set, the permissions were granted, the restructuring was all designed, then the UK decided to kick him out of the country, and he must have known, that somewhere down the line it would be confiscated from him, Roman isnt stupid.

To be honest, I have seen Chelsea lift multiple league and European titles now and I am sated regarding trophy success (guess that why I am not a professional sportsman <laugh>)
But even still, I am not sure copying Arsenal is the way to go. I mean, for all the praise they have gotten this season, their plan still hasnt born fruit, they have yet to win **** all, and could easily slip into third by seasons end.
While I think they have a genuine title shot this season, they have won nothing yet. Ok being in that position where you could win it, is all well and good, but its still not mission complete.

Looking back to around 2004 - when Abramovich took over - it was like a whirlwind of success achieved extremely quickly. Abramovich spent a fortune to get success and Boehley thinks he can get the success by also spending a fortune. Abramovich brought in one of the world’s best and brightest managers of the time in José Mouriño………..Boehley brought in Potter from Brighton who got a bit of success by making Brighton an average Premiership club. There lies the problem with Boehley’s tenure so far.
