I kept waking up in the night and thinking "9, wow"

Got up at half 5 to flick through to watch all the goals again. I will watch the whole game again later.

    Still can't believe the scoreline

Congrats Foxes, well deserved! Enjoy it, thrashings like that don’t come around every day. It feels like a long time ago now that Saints beat Sunderland 8-0.
I hope you shake the apple kart once again this season. You’ve got a very exciting team!

Last night its hard to pick a man of the match. Barnes was unplayable, Perez clinical as was Vardy, Soyuncu mopped everything up, Chilwell superb

    But how good was Youri

He can go all the way and become one of the best playmakers in world football

Seen quite a bit about us being accused of disrespect scoring 9. Admittedly some of these comments are based on criticism of the USA women’s team and asking why it is different for us. It seems to come from the US mindset of running up the score. Would Liverpool or Man City he accused of disrespect. Doubt it. Great to see us be so ruthless

Would have been more disrespectful to Southampton to stop playing to our best IMHO ... and to the other teams in the league ... <cheers>

Exactly, breaking records is part of competitive sport and goal difference could be very important later in the season. They disrespected their own fans/club by downing tools inside 20 minutes

Problem is say at 3-0 if we “declared” and Southampton score a goal from a set piece or something. Football is a funny game where they can all of a sudden build momentum and could have mounted a comeback

Sport is about giving your all from the first whistle to the last. Thats what we demand as paying fans and our best on that day seen us score 9

Exactly. The other season, was it Arsenal who were 4 up at HT against someone and drew 4 all.
Who decides what the score can be?

If that's the case, then every time a team goes 4 nil up, the game stops and points are awarded to the team that are winning.

Was there this much fuss when Man Utd beat Ipswich 9-0??!!

It seems to have come from the Americans and their concept of running up the score. **** and and concentrate on your own sports and leave us to ours thanks America!
