You were very tough to break down today, you were great defensively. And Long just had to choose today to show why we paid £12mill for him. On another day, you would have got a point.
Looking at the improvement in both QPR and Burnley it's looking increasingly like we'll be lucky to finish 19th!
Burnley are defending pretty well, and QPR are attacking pretty well. We're doing neither. Our defence isn't quite as useless as QPR's (which has admittedly improved now Rio's off typing sexist tweets) and our attack isn't as bad as Burnley's, but we're stuck in a horrible no-man's land- Pearson clearly doesn't know what to do. He went for the defensive tactic today, and it worked for most of the game. However, when we conceded, no one then looked like doing anything about it, we just rolled over and accepted that we weren't going to score and get anything from the game! I turned off when the first goal went in, knowing there wasn't anything we were going to do- such a change from the first few games, where quite often we would go straight for the throat after the opposition scored (Ulloa's goals against Everton, Arsenal and Man Utd come to mind).
Just watched QPR on MOTD and they should have beaten Man City! They will have a field day against us when we go there in 2 games time :/
