We dominated the second half, but it was pretty even in the first.
Very important win, considering we now go away to Bournemouth on Boxing Day for arguably the hardest game of the season.

Despite not playing well we came away with a big win, grimmer, LVC and fofana were the stand out players for me. Parker wasn't at his best, he misplaced a few passes and occasionally slowed things up with his twisting and turning. Sheffield W carved us open a few times in the first half but didn't have the firepower to punish us with goals.
Glad tto see Hutchinson get his goal, and Cauley too, although the way he built himself up for that penalty was a bit much, clearly meant a lot to him - was like it was the deciding kick in an inter toto cup final.
Strange to give Roberts such a short cameo, especially when Ruiz wasn't having his best game. He can cut a sad, slightly alien, figure at times - he must wonder how he has ended up as a fairly average championship player, same with Royston drenthe who started the game on Wednesday's bench!
The visiting fans made good noise and contributed to a lively atmosphere, the ground looked busier than usual too. Overall it was a satisfying result, albeit a flattering one for us and LVC showed further signs that he is headed for the top, hopefully we hold on to him a few more years.

How are things looking defensively these days, particularly the full backs. Bournemouth always look to attack, and have a selection of very good wingers, with Matt Ritchie and Mark Pugh the most likely to start on Boxing Day. Clean sheets in the last two games, plus the return of Bettinelli have got me feeling optimistic again.
Firstly I must give praise to the Sheff W supporters they contributed to a great atmosphere.
For me this was one of the best performances I have seen this season.

There is still some tweaking for Kit to do ,and a couple of buys in the window could set us up
for a good season in 15/16
The next match against the leaders will give us a much better assessment on how far we have come under
Kits stewardship.

Great second half performance. Sheffield Wednesday were setup with 5 in the midfield and first half was naturally difficult for us to break them down. We needed that free kick and the second goal at the dying minutes finished them off. Forced to open up in the second half and played to our strength.
Against Bournemouth will be a whole different game. I would drop Ruiz for that and get Hyndman in to make the numbers in the midfield covering for Parker and defending too.

I'm going - it's a 10 minute walk for me and my boys. Fulham COYW said he was going too. Where are your seats?
I think protection down the flanks might be more important than packing the midfield. Bournemouth have good central midfielders, but their danger men are arguably the wingers. Kavanagh in midfield to support Stafylidis?
For all that I've criticised Hugo, this is definitely a game for him. One of my friends who is a Cherries season-ticket holder says that their back four lack height and they struggle against set pieces and crosses.
Staf picked up a 5th booking yesterday so I think he's suspended. If correct, then we'll need Kavanagh at LB.
Ah, okay. I didn't know that.
Then again, if Kit wanted to double up, I've seen Burn play - against Bournemouth, by the way - at left back. He did okay, but looked better when he switched to the centre in the second half that day.
