What do people think :smiley-finger007:

Forde
Dunne Robinson Ward Barron
Henry Tam Trotter Bouazza
Henderson Marquis

Subs Mildenhall Stewart Purse Racon McQuoid. <ok>

im just booking flights for friday got to be in London for weekend so i will be going to
Reading wooo hooo <ok>

maybe kenny should try mildenhall
forde
dunne robinson ward craig
tam
henry trotter bouaza
marquis henderson

i think Marquis and Henderson should be the front pairing if we go with 4-4-2.

Forde
Dunne Robbo Ward Craig
Henry Trotts Tam Barron
Marquis Mcqoid

Thought Henderson was slow, ponderous, dwelled on the ball far too often. Didnt look anywhere near sharp enough yesterday, couldnt sort his feet out, didnt make any penetrating runs, just wanted to stand up front and have the ball lumped up to him. (Like a certain flying Welsman towards the end of his Millwall stint) M&M chase everything down, hurry defenders and are a genral pain in the backside for defenders.

I must admit with the lack of news on the transfer front i would have to plump for a very defensive look to the team next weekend as reading away is bang up there with amongst the toughest games we got to play this season...

so i'd go for

forde - dunne ward robbo craig - tam abdou - mcquoid henry bouazza - henderson or marquis

subs: mildenhall, smith, barron, racon, whichever striker don't start...

i think we're in for a bit of tough season due to my opinion that we need atleast one more midfielder/winger and at least two forwards.. atm we only got 3 real forwards and one of them is a teenager whose largely unproven!

I take it you ain't a massive fan of Henderson then Cunning.

Nothing against the guy personaly, maybe he can do a job but i think the problem with a big man up front is the second somebody in Midfield/Defence has the ball and cant see an immediate pass, the temptation is to hoof long and hope Henderson can bring it down and bring others into play. That tactic is so innefective. We saw the same with Hesky/Crouch up front for England and everyone hated it. I trust Kennys oppinion implicitly but i think hes been tempted to get in a big man with Morros departure, but Morro wasnt really used as a target man his size mearly enabled him to stand up against big centre halves and go past the with skill and pace. Henderson appears to have neither of those. I hope im wrong but id rather have M&M and maybe a ranger/le fondre to add a bit of skill and pace. Defenders can deal with size and strength, but pace makes them **** themselves!

Tough choice with the strikers.
Im genuinely excited by McQoid. His touch and finishing are class, can't wait for him to start banging them in regularly. Even in pre game warm up (I know it doesnt mean anything) his finishes are awesome.
But Marquis seems to have already found that scoring touch, and Henderson looked alright against Charlton.

Don't think we can drop Forde, he's our Number 1 and is an international, although he was poor v Charlton, the 2nd his positioning was poor and should have saved the third. See how it goes.

Forde (i dunno maybe Mildenhall)
Dunne Robbo Ward Craig
Henry Trotts Tam Bouazza
Marquis Mcqoid

Subs: Racon, Henderson, abdou, Barron

I might be wrong but wasn't that Forde's 1st game in a while due to injury? Bound to be a bit rusty, sure KJ will work him this week in training so should be ok for the weekend. Think the midfield picks itself these days so need to need to look at upfront. I'd be tempted to start with M&M but Henderson will have a point to prove seeing as he was considered a failure at Reading. Think the way Marquis has been playing it's a case of who starts alongside him.
