Well earned point - perhaps unlucky not too have taken all 3 but some poor decision making at times ... Vardy not bad in fist game back, Nugent pretty awful all night, Lloyd not much better ... DD excellent, Schlupp and De Laet credible mentions ... Mahrex caused havoc for them nearly every time he got it ... hope Matty James is fit for the Dramas because Dean Hammond is not in his league ... puts his body on the line 'tho ... can't fault his commitment ...
This, good summary Fosse It took us 57 minutes to actually start playing, which is a disappointment in itself. Nugent dreadful. Don't really see what Hammond brings. Need James back.
Does he have your record too? I think I remember him going on a mental run like that for you but being poor at home.
Yep, he got us unbeaten for 17 matches away, 3 more than the previous record. Considering that season we were an average side (finished 11th) that's pretty good.
This may sound daft, but 7 clear & looking at the remaining 4 games, Burnley have it tougher. On paper eh! Just win the lge LC please.
Away matches. I know, it's ridiculous. We lost 4 of the first 6 away games that season, and didn't lose another one for the rest of the season.
Twice ... and he recovered the second one superbly... and given that the first one was Gareth McLeary, can't complain too much ... and more than made up for those throughout the game including superb cross for a goal that should not have been disallowed and more of a threat down our left than Lloyd was all game ... both fullbacks did well in fact ...
According to one of the Dramas, Leigertwood plays for you... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/258146-Leicesters-Leigertwood-sent-off-today
I thought De Laet gave the ball away too much as well, but I am a fan overall so will put it down to one of those days. Both fullbacks were great in attack and a bit shaky in defence - I guess that's the price you have to pay to have upward mobility. Konch and Moore offered little in attack against Brighton.
Hate to think what McLeary would have done to Konchesky last night ... was also not Big Wes' best game ... lost the centre-half for their goal ... got done by McLeary and needed Kasper to come to the rescue and missed an absolute sitter of a header ... but he's entitled to one poor game ... they were up for it so overall a point was not a bad result ...
Good game from Schmeichel, DeLaet, Schlupp (going forward), DD, Mahrez, Vardy, GTF Poor game for Wasyl, Morgan, Dyer, Hammond, Nugent, King, Wood Dyer, Nugent and Hammond had poor games, Nugetnt will be picked on Saturday, but i can't see Dyer or Hammond being being picked for QPR, although i'd still have Hammond over King at the moment.
Thought Hammond was ok last night, apart from jumping with his arm raised. Certainly made a couple of excellent blocks, and allowed DD to get forward more. He will never be someone who catches the eye, but does some of the boring stuff really well, and has helped us to close a number of games down this season (that previously we may not have won).
Fair points Barwell... he certainly got the blocks in .. but his distribution wasn't brilliant and he seemed to stall the pace of our attacks when / if he was involved ... personally I'd like to see the pace merchants in full drive against the dramas ... hopefully Vardy will have blown the cobwebs away and can get back to doing what he does best ...
