Kasami changed the game. We looked terrible until then, lacking any confidence. After Kasami's goal we gained parity and then started to exert alot of pressure. In the end we thoroughly deserved the win. Kasami or Sidwell for man of the match. Both showed a lot of energy that was painfully absent from Bent/Berba/Ruiz, and just harried and ripped into Palace time and time again.
So just how good was that! Looking forward to my trip to The South Coast on Saturday. Still need to sort a few things, but always a chance of 3 on the spin.

Hopefully that was the confidence booster we needed. Great win and great goals. I've just got back from the match although got delayed by the pub for a drink to celebrate. First 20 mins we didn't play well but you could see there was a desire and hunger to do something in this game. The Kasami goal was the game changer and after that we did not look back. Hangeland was quite poor and must have be still suffering with his back problems. He made some really poor passes and decisions and should have done better at their goal. Bent also did not see much of the ball and this is still a worry I think. All in all though an excellent win and much needed. There was spirit in the team and even Berbatov seemed to be enjoying the game. Sidwell was good as of course was Kasami who is really making a mark this season. Fans were great, including that of Palace. I haven't been to Selhurst Park for 32 years and that makes me sound really old. Great atmosphere that I am sure our Mr Khan enjoyed. Let's hope this run continues down in Southampton. We're just one point off Man Utd I think now ! Lol
I'm going to admit I have a drink or 8 but what a game what a goal but most of all what great fans, when Palace went one up thought our fans could have turned on Jol a bit but they were fantastic sung pretty much non stop so proud to be amongst them. Can any one watching on tv confirm how good the fans were?
thank you, I also know how much you have slagged off adel, 1 amazing goal. I was stunned when I saw it go in
I am so relieved, 2 wins onthe bounce. I thought we played well. The start wasnt great, they really pressed us for 15 minutes but then Patker and Sidwell got hold of the game, Kasami was brilliant again. Stekelenberg didn't have much to do and 2 brilliant goals. All in all very happy!
I think last night might have given us a glimpse of the formation we should be playing... 4-3-1-2 ---- Sidwell --- Parker --- Zverotic--- --------Kasami------- ------Bent----Berba --- or 4-3-2-1 ---- Sidwell --- Parker --- Zverotic--- --------Kasami--Berba----- ----------Bent------- The only weakness I saw last night was tracking back from the right which didn't give Riethe space to move up... In any case well done to the team...
All I've seen of the match is the goals (several times for one of them - any guesses which?). How was Ruiz? I notice that Madness has him absent in his 'now we now how we should line up' options, but the BBC website had him down as getting two assists, and the Fantasy Football site credits him with three! Clearly, I'm just going on the stats rather than having seen the game, but it sounds like he was - as he often is to my eyes - a key part of the good things when we are going forward. Was that not the case last night? Genuine question, by the way, not an attempt to start a fight! Great result, and as others have said a well-needed confidence boost. I'm making the not-so-long (for me) trek to Southampton next week, so I'm looking forward to seeing the new improved Fulham for myself next weekend. It's my eldest's 10th birthday two days later, so 3pts and more of our now-trademark spectacular goals would be a great extra present for him.
Ruiz was ok, not really in the game as much as he should be but once again he was asked to play out wide which is not his position! Couple of assists so can't complain
I was restricted to Live Text last night (working) but as I understand it, Berba's and Senderos' goals were from Ruiz corners (not long ago that our corner-taking was getting some stick - mind you, Palace apparently didn't cope amazingly well) and Sidwell's was a rebound from Ruiz burying a free kick in the wall. I can't really offer much more than that.
Shall we change the rules to similar with basketball? We can get him in to deliver the corners... As for the deflection from the free-kick if you count that to the ability of Ruiz that beats me!
What bothers me is this that Jol said yesterday [posted at 19:59]: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24614936 Fulham manager Martin Jol on BBC Radio 5 live: "We need at least 40 points to stay up. Of course I want to do better than that but you have to consider the transition we have undergone. We have lost 25-30 players in the last two years. We have to gel as a team. I believe we have the ability to develop into a very good team again. "I want to make people happy. I do not think there is someone else that could do a better job - someone who could attract players like Ruiz and Berbatov. They came because of Fulham but because of me too." That has left wondering...
