Demarai Gray is out injured but Wes Morgan returns from suspension. Claude Puel has said Caglar Soyuncu hasnt played yet due to his lack if English. So here is what I would go with

    Schmeichel

    Amartey
    Evans
    Maguire
    Chilwell

    Albrighton
    Ndidi
    Mendy
    Maddison

    Iheanacho
    Vardy

Subs- Ward, Ricardo, Morgan, Iborra, Ghezzal, Diabate, Okazaki

    N’didi
    Mendy

    Why Fuchs out of interest?

I stick with the same side that beat Huddersfield after a slow start. I bet Morgan comes back in though.

We need 3 points here, these are shocking. A good mate is a Newcastle fan and he didn’t even mention the game until I brought it up when I saw him Tuesday and he was so disheartened already and resigned to going down as they haven’t strengthened and the promoted sides look strong

I think Fuchs has a much better all round game. He isn’t as fast but has far better delivery, long throw and defensively solid. Plus a decent strike!

Chilwell has developed alot since the end of last season and has started this season cery well. As much as I like Fuchs the time has come for Chilwell to be first choice. Fuchs is leaving at the end of the season so we need Chilwell to keep developing and the only way he will do that is by playing. At the minute Chilwell is first choice because of his performances. Fuchs has played well in both cup games and no doubt will have a role to play in the league soon

Can’t agree more with Proud’s comments, Chilwell has been my player of the season so far and has improved no end. I guess it is a compliment to that position that we have Fuchs as back up as he does an excellent job when needed

Mate was watching the game - said Amartey had his best game in a Foxes shirt.

Still feel Amartey can be our weak link though.

I like Ricardo alot but his defensive game isnt good enough but neither is Amartey. Puel wont play Simpson which IMO he should with Ricardo on the wing and then in Jan buy a new right back

How come? From what I see he is basically a more athletic version of Simpson - a purely defensive RB.

Is what we need with the likes of Ricardo and Ghezzal ahead of him who don't really do their share of defending.

Simpson was awful last season - one of the reasons why we couldn't get rid of him in the summer even on loan.

We have Darnell Johnson ready to make a step up.

Wages would be that reason and I think he didnt want to go. And defensively he is our best right back by a mile. Last season he was solid. He just cant get over the half way line which is why Puel doesnt like him. Nothing wrong with his defensive side

I tend to agree - sometime the criticism of Amartey comes across as a bit harsh - he is primarily a central defender who is fast enough to play as a right back ... he was actually in the ACON team of the tournament as a central defender but we have never really played him there. IMHO he is a better footballer than Danny Simpson - Simpson is an excellent athlete.

people also seem to forget that Amartey is only 23 ... two years younger than Harry Maguire!

Amartey is the same and never ventures across the half way line but Puel likes him - mainly as he is athletic enough to cover Morgan if he gets into difficulty.

I watched pretty much every game last season and Simpson was poor - it was no surprise that the opposition attacked him more often then not as Morgan has lost a step so couldn't cover when he was out of position and outpaced too many times.

I remember arguing here with people that wanted him to be dropped that he was a necessary evil as we want Mahrez to be free to attack - maybe we should have put in Amartey as he has been doing the same job but better imo.

If anyone hasn’t seen Ron-Robert Zielers own goal on the bbc sport home page, watch it now. It’s the best thing you’ll see all day

Ive seen it. Remember Olof Mellberg for Villa. Zieler has copied that

He was ****. Since we signed Kasper we have never had decent back up. Weale, Logan, Hamer, Schwarzer, Zieler and Jakupovic was all useless

Danny Ward so far looks capable of giving Kasper a run for his money
