Are you Chelsea? Are you Chelsea? Are you Chelsea in disguise? Are you Chelsea in disguise? That's what's happened: Ranieri as manager, playing in blue, top of the league...
Get in! Top of the table! Really pleased for you, well except AKCJ, he's a ****, but it's great to see someone scaring the ****e out of the "Establishment" in the PL. I really hope Man C keep playing like they are too, we could end up doing them in the League Cup quite easily. Yeah yeah, that'll come back to haunt me. Ride the wave fellas!
Forgot to mention that you are really in 15th if you check the current league table. Everyone's got the two teams mixed up this year.
I remember the last time we were top of the Prem, and our next game was against ................................ Man U. We were taken apart by them and started a slide that eventually led to Peter Taylor being one of the most hated people ever to represent us. Have a feeling that just wont happen with Claudio in charge.
What an amazing day. I have two sons, 27 and 24 who sadly are not football fans (I am in NZ) that have grown up with me telling them how good City are but just dismiss it as old man drivel. Was so happy to show one of them the league table this morning. Cant wait for next weekend.
All set up beautifully for next weekends Man Utd game. 1st v 2nd and a chance for Vardy to break RVN's (and Vardy's!!) record. Bring it on
Newcastle, imo, will stay be out the bottom 3 & stay up come the end of the season. Villa, I hope, B´mouth & Sun´land will go down. This is just my opinion btw. Chuffed we beat Nwecastle today & with abit of style aswell. We´ve not had the best of results v teams struggling near the bottom throught out our recent history. Clean sheet deserves a mention from me aswell, as I´m always going on about not getting one. So credit where credits due. I do think this back four is more solid & seem to know (most of the time) what they need to do as a back line. King has tweeted or whatever, that the LCFC fans at NUFC were superb. So well done there too. After his side went top of the Premier League with a 3-0 win at Newcastle, Leicester midfielder Andy King said: "Get in!!!!! Lads were different class. Thanks to all the away support!"
Barwell, we topped the Premier League after 8 games in 2000/01. We had only scored 7 goals and conceded 2 at that point, so not nearly as exciting! We did lose to Man Utd, and then to Liverpool. But that wasn't the end, we went on another 4 game unbeaten run after that. After 13 games, we were 4th on 23 points. We were doing well right up until the turn of the year. 30th December 2000 we were 5th, with 35 points... It was the second half of the season we completely buckled (we went on an 8 game losing streak in March/April ), but we still managed to finish in a respectable 13th place, with 48 points... It seems we carried on that poor end-of-season form into the next season, Taylor was sacked in September 2001, we were relegated, and the rest, as they say, is history...
