Fabulous fighting performance ... yes Drinky might have been pulled up for a penalty on another day ... but that only evened out the Mahrez one ... Fellaini will be cited for that elbow ... and fat boy should have walked for a second yellow for pulling back Demarai Gray as we would have had 3 on 2 ... Spurs now have to win at Chelsea or it's over as early as tomorrow .. wouldn't that be great? ...
Could be done and dusted tomorrow, will take a big effort for Spurs to win at their big rivals Chelsea tomorrow.... And if they do..... So what, it will then set it up oh so perfectly next week, our FINAL game of the season in front of a cauldron of noise at the KP to complete the job and the miracle. What odds on Vardy getting the goal that clinched it!!
Gutted we didnt win today as it all but blew our chances of CL football next season. I wish Leicester City every success next week. I won't allign myself with sychophantic fickle commentators and pundits who were probably sticking the boot into LCFC a year ago and are fawning over you now to try to be a part of your success. It's embarrassing. But as an honest fan, all I can say is all the best
Great point. Take away what was riding on it United had won their last six at home so magnificent display. Apart from Felleini early we dealt with so many crosses with ease and had just as many clear chances as them. Thought Mahrez had a great opportunity with a one on one but instead crossed it for Ulloa late on. We will miss Drinkwater next week but would be great if King came in and scored the winner.
Drinkwater is a loss but Andy King has been superb whenever he has stepped in this season and he has what Drinkwater and Kante lack. King scores goals Plus Vardy is back now
Pundits on MotD are saying that if Fellani gets a ban for the elbow then so should Huth for grabbing his hair. Who would come in for him if that does happen?
Wasilewski did superbly at Everton Liam Moore is also still here and Daniel Amartey can play there Huth wont get pulled up as it was only a yellow card offence
Just watched it back on MOTD2 and Oliver was piss poor! No red for Fellaini for assault and no second yellow for a drag back on Gray right under his nose, he bottled it! Not to mention the abuse Rooney gave the linesman and the ref after his booking! Then Drinkwater gets sent off for two softer yellows than Rooney who only got 1. If, as is hinted in the media, Drinkwater gets a second ban for his reaction like Vardy that is shocking from the FA and will show their London, southern softie, true colours
... you've missed out Rooney's tackle on Ulloa early first half .. late and high and nasty ... should have been a yellow unquestionably...
yeah i realised I missed that after I posted. One rule for Man U, another for the rest. Thankfully Drinkwater going off didn't affect the outcome of the match as Simpson and Vardy's did but if Spurs win tonight and we are without Drinky and Huth (talk of a retrospective ban) I'll feel twitchy again
You can't ban Huth for that f*** me. If that happens then 80 percent of the Prem / football lge should be Banned. Felleini should.
2 players in div 2 got a 3 match ban for pulling hair earlier on in the season, but there is a world of difference between pulling hair and elbowing someone in the neck and head twice!!!
