At his press conference The Manager confirmed that Ayite is out, with a "little" groin strain. [My gosh but he isn't half injury prone.] However, Schurrle is good to go and Anguisa has been back in full training mode. [Frank scored an absolute scorcher in one of the sessions.] While not mentioned, believe McDonald is still out. Leicester have done their owner proud in recent weeks, showing that old tenacity and speed on the counter. However they're not without injury doubts for this one. Manager Claude Puel has said, "several unnamed players are fitness concerns". What we know is that Jamie Vardy is nursing an ongoing groin problem; Harry Maguire is back in training but unlikely to play; Rachid Ghezzal is a doubt with a leg injury; and Wes Morgan appeared to pick up an injury against Watford. Probably won't happen since he was hiked at half time in the Chelsea match at the weekend but a return of Stefjo v Maddison would be something else. Been an eventful few weeks for Madders at his new club, going from Zero (ridiculous dive) to Hero (wonder goal at the weekend). Wonder what he'll conjure up tomorrow night ? Inevitably will be a very emotional night for our Manager. No doubt he'll set us up for a win though. Personally might be tempted to 'tinker' but expect Ranieri to make only one change - Schurrle coming back in. ...........................Rico.............. ..Christie.....Odoi.......Mawson...Le Marchand.. .......Schurrle...Cairney..Chambers..Seri... ........................Mitrovic..Sessegnon..
We have David Coote looking after things tonight. please log in to view this image Coote had a bumpy start to last year when he was suspended for alleged misconduct before the season even began. However, he quietly returned and must have done something good since he's now been promoted to the Premiership. The powers that be have been using him sparingly though and before this one he's only handled 3 matches, giving out 9 yellows. We've been one of the lucky three. The Notts County man was in charge for our 4-2 win over Burnley at the Cottage. Schurrle and Bettinelli went in his book.
Scrappy first half but 2nd half so much better and I'd go so far to say it was 2 points dropped. Odoi should have won it for as at the death. Things are definitely getting better but Leicester had an off night.
Agree, with Cairney coming on at half time, we were better in the second. Thought the whole 90 plus minute were scrappy though. What's with all these high balls forward? Mind you, can't fault the effort and definitely 2 points dropped.
