He had painkilling injections before the Burnley game & is on the list for assessment. We need an improved performance from that game but I guess that was always going to be more of a scrappy fixture. We are on a great run, confidence is good, we know we can play well & I see no reason not to go for it, its not inconceivable to get something out of this game. I'd take a boring 0-0 though!
I think our goal difference will be important at the end of the season, so i dont expect an attacking lineup at all.
... I'll disagree on this one ... if we try and sit back I think we'll get stuffed ... so I'm expecting that we will at least attempt to take the game to them ...
I agree with Fosse. We are not good enough defensively to have the luxury of sitting back. That said we will not go gung ho, but we play our best football when we counter attack we pace.
Liverpool were poo tonight, I had this down as a win for them. Big step for Hull this win. They are still in it but they´ll be thinking that they really have a chance now after back to backs.
If none of the doubtful players make it, I'd go for Proud's team with Cambiasso in for the doubtful Drinkwater. A draw against Burnley and they'll probably be fine. We probably need to beat Sunderland now. If they beat us, we're right back in the ****.
My thoughts are, that we have worked incredibly hard to get where we are, and to give ourselves a chance of survival. But all that good work will count for nothing, if we lose to Sunderland and/or QPR in our last 2 games...
Gotta hope that we can win the Sunderland game and that QPR, Burnley and Sunderland are all 4 points or more behind us on the final day .... *crosses fingers*
