Spot on re Puel. Very calm and composed manner, sort of like Pearson without the outbursts. Never over reacts and will keep the squad grounded
Not sure but good job for you he went off - you'd have lost if he'd stayed on. Evans is a far better CB than him at the moment. Maguire was getting a roasting from Paterson but Evans put the lid on that. Having said that, we deserved nothing from the game. You were better all over the pitch and taking the emotional stuff out of yesterday, we can't blame that on anyone but ourselves. We're finding out the hard way that life up here isn't all about grunt and effort - you need some skill and class as well and we haven't got it. Good luck to you.
As a Leicester family, we have had a harsh lesson that football comes a very poor second to life. Cardiff showed class by the bucket load. You can be proud of your team, fans and management. Thank you Cardiff for your tributes to Vichai.
No problem pal - it was a pleasure that wasn't a pleasure if you know what I mean. In terms of football, we're getting a harsh lesson most weekends.
Cheers Sparkey, how's it going? Do you think you can stay up? Suspect all Leicester fans will be rooting for you, given the tales coming out about the warmth of the welcome received / hospitality on Saturday
Hi FF pal - you'd be hard pressed to find anyone in this neck of the woods, and certainly at the CCS on Saturday who are not in total sympathy with you lot. As far as us staying up is concerned, a lot of us think we have pissed on our chips with a very low key (piss poor!) summer transfer window. We haven't supplemented our squad with any quality apart from our 2 loanees Arter and Camarasa relying on Championship players to make the step up. FFS, Warnock and Co started talking about January imports at the back end of September after half a dozen games!! If that isn't an admission that we screwed up in the summer, nothing is. Our real hope of staying up is for others to fail. 17th will do but that assumes we can find 3 teams to push below us in the table. We've beaten Fulham but thrown away points against Huddersfield, Newcastle and Burnley - all trap door contenders. We are up **** creek without a paddle at the moment and Saturdays performance against you (taking nothing away from your guys) didn't do us any favours.
Interesting comment from Demarai Gray on who he quotes as the skipper For the past few days I told myself I was going to score. But for me, everyone in the dressing-room, and I think everyone was supporting us. What we have in that dressing-room from the skipper Kasper Schmeichel to the physios and everyone, it was all for Vichai. He changed my life. Everyone’s life in the dressing-room. Even the fans who live and die for the club. We owed to him. All to him. Everyone out there, we ran for him.
Not really as you missed out the comma - Morgan is known as the skipper and has been captain since Gray joined us. No one at the club has a bad thing to say about Morgan - is only us who want him dropped and for most of us, it is purely for footballing reasons.
As you say - brilliant captain and leader - but time waits for no man and he is now being exposed a bit by the quicker more agile front men ...
Claude Puel’s job is simple but difficult atm. All he needs to do is keep the players emotions under control as much as possible Ive called for his head for a long time and justifiably but after whats happened its time to pull in the same direction and get behind everyone. No moaning at Morgan playing, not getting on Puels back etc. We can only get through this as 1. The club and team will fall apart if everyone starts getting on each others backs
