I'd stay with the team that's got us this far, to drop anybody now would probably damage the team spirit ,plus the added knowledge that there replacements now on the bench waiting to take there place's may drive the present occupants on to greater things(if possible), understand that Abel might not make it back with much time to spare, so if there was to be a change, thats it., otherwise same starting line up for me.
Mason and Meccano in - Meyler and Dio out, both have played certainly better than I expected but neither are Prem standard
Team spirit is through the roof, The players of the last 3 games should absolutely start against Burnley, barring someone returning injured from the international break. We were very unlucky to not get a point against Man U FFS
Totally agree. I wouldnt care if we'd signed Messi, dropping any of the players who have performed as well as they have would send completely the wrong message. It's not price tag and name that picks the team, it's performance.
I think some are basing their opinions on this purely on the fact they want to see our new players in action.
Swansea won there 1-0 so no reason to think we can't. Going into it looking for a 0-0 like Bruce might have done is a dangerous game to play and I hope we don't go down that route.
Agree under SB they were certain players who were always on the team sheet, no matter how bad they played the game/games before, I'm hoping that MP will give the players a fair chance, but if push comes to shove, he'll show a ruthless side and drop players , even 13 million pound players if they are not producing the goods .
I'm confused by people saying Hernandez will definitely rest when other PL players who travel just as far and actually play for their country don't rest, and Hernandez didn't rest last season either and scored goals.
I think over the last few seasons SB convinced Hernandez that he was too tired to play after international duty, in most of his radio interviews he'd get it in " how tired he was after playing for his country" till it got to the point Abel started to believe him.
We had a decent amount of chances last season away! Only the palm away by Greegsy that give them the win! 1-2 sat
From a different perspective Have meyler/diomande really been outstanding? I dont think they have and with this game being a massive chance for 3 precious points id have to put mason in for meyler whos alot better standard, and henriksen in for diomande (whos playing out of position) Id also toy with marshall for jak Tough decisions but no time for sentimentality in the race for prem survival, tough decisions need to be made
People really do struggle to understand that individually 'outstanding' performances arent necessarily required for 'outstanding' team performances.
Ditto, unchanged line up. Introduce some of the new players as subs. The current team have earnt the right to go again. Big game this one, given recent results at Burnley a point probably wouldn't be a bad result.
Given Hernandez not playing til Thursday morning then a 10+hrs flight back I just can't see him playing .. Mbokani in for him .. Mason in for Meyer as he looks after the ball better .. can't see much else changing.
Its a game of percentages, mason works harder than meyler and has a better pass completion as well as a better range of passing and overall quality, my opinion without failing to understand anything is we'l be alot better with mason over meyler in turn giving us alot better chance to get 3 points which is all that matters at the end of the day. did we win last game no Do we need 3 points this game more than likely yes Lets give ourselfs the best chance of doing this by playing our best team Mason can do everything meylers done in the first three games and alot more probably without the errors meylers made too, which gives us a greater chance of winning Hope thats broken it down enough for you to understand and respect as a viable sensible opinion
Team spirit isn't quantifiable in statistics. Leicester won the title last season despite having statistically inferior players to three-quarters of the league.
I really don't get the Meyler thing with half our fans. He starts off with us well. One minute he's ****, then he's good again and we sing a song about it, then he's **** again and not up to the Premier League. He does the ****ty stuff in midfield well and allows others to play the fancy stuff and always gives 100%. Not sure what people expect from him?
And youre basing this on how many games he has played for us? Basing a conclusion on what somebody has done for Spurs and therefore what they might do for us is a bit daft.
Marshall Elmo Harry Curtis Robbo Clucas Livermore Mason Snodgrass Mbokani Hernandez I'd normally opt for fat tom in the holding role, but our sam has looked **** hot playing there. Keep him in whilst he's on top of his game for sure.
