Try the reverse logic. If you had beaten Burnley and drawn with Man U you would have been delighted. Its the same number of points! As for being in a scrap, anyone outside the Big 8 is looking over their shoulder all season!
Very true and something I was thinking this morning. Whilst I was very disappointed yesterday, soft free kick, conceding in the 96th min & dropping 2 points when Burnley were there for the taking. Trying to look more positively at the overall position, we've played 7, W2, D3, L2. 9 points. Considering we had Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal & Man U in the fixtures it's not a bad return of points, better than I expected. We just didn't pick up the points where we thought we might.
Largely agree with this ... shame we didn't have Cambiasso yesterday ... if we had I think we would have had more control in the midfield and that would have seen us home in the end ...
We didn't control the midfield and that was why we didn't win Drinkwater didn't have his best game and Hammond offered little. Whilst Nugent has been anything special this season he has brought a lot to the team by dropping into the midfield and stopping us getting overrun against the better sides but Burnley should have been much easier to control We go to Newcastle now who are yet to win meaning that is potentially a very dangerous game for us so we shouldn't under estimate them. Whilst Nigel will argue his 2 changes in Schlupp and Mahrez both scored I think he did get the team wrong and I was surprised with his interviews after the game that we "dominated" the game. I would say we controlled for the majority but not dominated. He was quite disrespectful of Burnley which is unlike him
Yes mate, get to see every single game live over here. We are 5 hrs behind uk so 10am starts for the usual 3pm kick offs
Don't worry you won't go down You will win games you think you will lose Then you wont win games you think you should win . At the end of the season you WILL stay in the premier league and improve a bit next season Leicester and Hull should both become long term premier league clubs . I think that will happen . Your doing fine ..
A day on and i'm still so pissed off at that. Shambolic performance and everything that Burnley did was so predictable.
Having seen the goals back what the hell was Kasper playing at. Should have come out for the 1st and too naive for the 2nd Why didnt we put a man on the post?
I said the same on the way back from the ground. He was always going to shoot as it was the 96th minute! Stick a man on each post, at least it would have made his target smaller.
It's all about small margins in the Premier League, if we hadn't completely thrown away a 2-0 lead at Newcastle and hadn't fallen asleep to drop a 2-1 lead against West Ham, we could be top four, even against Man City we deserved a draw. There'll be plenty of twists and turns between now and the end of the season, just enjoy the ride.
Oh. I see. I thought there was a little more to it than that. Then again, judging by your username, and Dodgeball being arguably the worst film I have ever seen, tells me all I need to know about your intellectual levels, and oh-so-simple idea of what's funny
He wouldn't have lasted until the end. I think the fact he was out shows he still isn't quite match fit. He's played very well, but I don't see the point in replacing a defensive midfielder like Cambiasso on the hour. I'd rather wait until he gets fully fit- stick James in if necessary.
