Really should have won that, but not really a surprise that we've started dropping points now the expectations are on us to do well.
Just left the ground and that was such a poor performance. Early results have been good but we shouldn't be hanging on for the whole of the second half against Burnley who had were weakened as it was. Very disappointed with that. We need to pick it up again
That was absolutely dire. The worst league performance since the 4-1 Brighton game, and half the players were still drink in that one. Burnley didn't look like a Premier League side and nor did we. Two absolutely horriffic games have wiped out that United win. This **** needs to stop.
Absolutely agree. Just coz we have had some good results it doesn't excuse today and last week. If we were to get relegated by a point or two, today could prove key
Nice 2 week break now to get out **** together and back to basics Shipping far too many goals and need to tighten things up
All too predictable in the end ... too many poor decisions towards the end of the game I'm afraid - giving away a free kick where we did at that point was naïve ... credit to Burnley they kept at it ... we need to close games out when we are in command ...
Sounds like it was the right one to miss. Hard days slog in Peterborough. Now gotta wait a month before the next home game.
Two championship sides playing a Premier League game. Poor game and result. Not really fair to single out one player but no longer surprises me when Nugent is gazing around and the oppo come and pinch the ball off him.
Don't underestimate Burnley. They gave us a good going over in the second half at the Liberty, but we managed to hold on to a win
We should have finished this off with the many counter attacks we had. Vardy all too often gave the ball away trying to meg players rather than passing. Ulloa was largely ineffective, again nowhere to be seen in attack as he was too heavily involved in defending - I actually think Vardy returning as had a negative effect on Ulloa, as Vardy is now being used as the outlet. In theory, this should work, with Vardy using his pace to hold the ball up before crossing it onto Ulloa's head, but 1. Vardy all to often attempt to grab the glory himself and 2. Ulloa never seems to arrive. Nugent offered a nice bit of creativity when he came on - his vision is great at times - but either Mahrez and Vardy gave the ball away each time and you never fancy him to finish himself. Knockaert offered little and has yet to prove he is Premiership class (more to do with his lack of game time than anything, but still a fact). The free kick that led to the equaliser was never a foul, but overall, we can't argue with the point because we weren't ruthless enough in the final 30 minutes. They were begging to be killed off and we allowed them chance after chance by giving the ball away needlessly - irritating, because we didn't do this anywhere near as much in the first four games.
My comment was due more to the fact they were heavily weakened. They had Vokes and Ings out but also 3 of their first choice midfield so that makes it disappointing
We actually looked good on MOTD. But I guess they don't show the poor pieces of play... Regardless of how we played, we really should have taken the 3 points. To concede direct from a free-kick (a soft one, at that) in the 96th minute is quite painful. Ross Wallace won't even score another free kick this season, he could have tried another 9 times and not scored.
I think that sums up the Prem John. Games you think you will do well in tend to come back and bite you on the bum! We've got you boys in a couple of weeks and am looking forward to a tough encounter
We have set our own standards which we didn't live up to. It's no good beating Man U and failing to beat Man U. Just hoping we can get points soon so we're not in a scrap come the business end
