Konchesky was by far and away the worst defender yesterday - he lost Sylvan Tubby-Blake for the first and watched the ball rather than picking up Stearman for the second ... without THAT strike it would have been an abysmal display full of hisd usual needless diving in and poor distribution. Nugent was dire ... and surely Nigel needs to look at his 'role' in the team ... Can't undersatnd why people are leaving Moore out - one wayward pass but neither ghim or Wes really screwed up in terms of defending against a very 'robust' Wolves side ... De Laet got forward really well and delivered some good crosses (some poor ones as well admitedly - but we looked very dangerous from the right in the second half)
After Konchesky's' recent displays I'd be tempted to try De Laet at LB. I'd try something like; Kapser Moore SSL Wes RDL Marshall Drinkwater King/James Knockeart Vardy Beckford Don't think Nugent's done enough recently and he's missing chances that he really should be putting away. Maybe even give Futacs a crack.
Personally, I thought he was lucky to stay on the pitch, his tackle in the first half warranted a card and I've seen reds given for the sort of tackle that he did get carded for later in the game. He's a dirty bastard, you should flog him to Leeds.
SEB might be a bit "rotund" but he is still one of the fastest and trickiest strikers around - was hoping that Sven would have signed him instead of Beckford and still feel the same now. Nugent has lost his touch and is not helped with having Vardy by his side who seems to be a shoot on sight kind of guy. I left Moore out because while he didn't do anything wrong, he hasn't clicked with Morgan (who has been the player of the season so far) so would have SSL in his place as he did last season.
None of the strikers deserve to start tommorow. We should go down the Spain route and play 6 in midfield and forget the strikers
I agree with what Clarke Carlisle said yesterday - Nugent is stuck on 99 goals, as soon as he gets 100, the pressure is off and he will start banging them in again. At least I hope so, really rate Nuge personally
Did you know that Hull City have the best players ever to grace this planet? WOW ive never met more delusional pricks in my like a few of them are spot on but some of em are proper knobs! Check out our match thread
This is why i found it odd that he was moved to centre back against Blackpool, he did some well dodgy challenges inside the box rather than outside, if the ref had been braver, we wouldnt have won that game because of Konch either.
Konch does come out with the odd wild one, but he's far from a dirty player. I'd call it committed. He did deserve a hefty ban for his tackle on a Swindon winger when we played them in the F.A. cup though, he nearly took his legs off and he got away with a yellow.
The thing is, we could. Danns and James holding, King and Marshall up front, Dyer and Knockaert on the wings.
He hasn't played well this season, although I am one of his supporters - He was totally caught out for the first goal yesterday - He didn't seem to have a clue what was happening - I used to think if a player is struggling with form a short time in the stiffs is a good opportunity to play through the bad patch without harming the club - We need to compete in a proper stiffs league
I think Danns days are numbered. He cant get on the bench and now with Richie Wellens returning, Danns could find himself surplus to requirements
Yeah we have already been told by Charlie that James Chester is better then Bobby Moore, Franz Beckenbauer, Wes Morgan and Liam Moore. So what chance does class knees Kisnorbo and Peltier have hey?
Have never liked him, every time i watch the game, Konch will get caught up field, dive in when its completely unnecessary and generally give the CB more work to do. Hes like Bamba, but on the wing.
I like Konch but I would prefer Nigel kept Tom Kennedy as we have no one to push Konch so he could get complacent But the best left back I have seen in a blue shirt for years was Bruno Berner. Mr Consistent, reliable and Leicester City all rolled into one
