This thought crossed my mind as well but then again, fun fact: we weren´t 6th come the end of Sept either.
Looking forward to the next game v Stoke & hopefully getting this one out the system. "sort the f***ing DEF out FFS" "UTF"
This is true Gansta, but we also played weak sides last season from Aug to Mar & we were bottom, atleast we´re doing better this. We need to forget it now & move on... after sorting that ****ing DEF out mind.
Yes, Arsenal finally gave an Arsenal performance, its totally Ranieri's fault. I would be more than happy to point fingers if Arsenal were below par, but they weren't, that was a top class performance from a top class team, which you haveto remember, we are not.
Got to just hold your hands up and say we were beaten well by a very good side We will win more than we lose this season, but some need to realise we WILL lose games, it happens. On to the next one now.
I know we're not. I'm not one of the fans who seem to think we're looking at Europe this year. But we did play 10 games against the big 5 last season, and didn't concede 5 or lose by three. I didn't actually mention Ranieri - I was actually referring to the fact we were defensively tighter last season - but now you've brought him up: that defense is not good enough and that's been clear since day one this season. Even lowly Bury managed to bag against us, yet nothing as been done to resolve this situation. Moving to a five man midfield at half time was a case of bolting the door after the horse had bolted. Why would you go to one up front when we were losing? We should have continued to play our natural game - change your game for the opposition and they already have the psychologically advantage. Bringing Kramaric on made a difference, but it was too little, too late. I know Arsenal are a quality side, and we may have lost whatever we did, but we could also have done better. On the bright side, great to see Vardy doing the biz against a big side. Shows he's deserving of his international recognition. Mahrez - not so good. Maybe Arsenal and Barca will be having second thoughts...
On the flip side Gangsta we didn't have 12 points on the board , sitting in a lofty position or were one of the top scorers in the league this time last season Glass half full for me. However you look at it we are doing better this season compared to last and I've no doubt we will improve on our points tally last season too. Glass definitely half full for me. As for Mahrez I agree he was not at it today, and he won't be every week unfortunately.
The point is, Miami, that we SHOULD be moving forward from last season. We have a stronger, more experienced squad. Defensively, we have moved backwards. Promising everywhere else though.
Defensively we have moved backwards, that will be sorted no doubt...BUT we have progressed in every other possible area. Like I said...glass half full for me.
2nd worst DEF in the lge. Q. How the **** are we 6th ? A. Easy, our attacting football has stopped us from being in the bottom 3 right now because without it that´s were we would be.
I hope it will be sorted - but I've been waiting for that since the Villa game at least. The telltale signs of a thumping like this have been there for a while.
I hear ya mate. Ones things for sure with this squad is how they a,ways bounce back Let's hope they do so next weekend 2 tough away games coming up now could very well be bottom half after those 2 and that is when Ranieri will start earning his money
First and foremost well done to Arsenal some of their inter-play was scintillating at times ... Walcott and Sanchez against Wes and Huth was always going to ask questions and it was probably a good indicator to Claudio of where we are most vulnerable .. Putting into perspective ... we just about deserved our lead and it was a fine move ... football matches can turn on fine margins and this one did ... we were threatening a second when Okazaki was taken out off the ball and Vards then tried to go it alone resulting in Cech being able to take the ball and it going straight back up the field for Sanchez to score ... such is life ,,, if we had gone 2-0 up then it would have likely have been a much different game ... Riyad had a bit of a mare today ... nothing much went for him until the last 10 mins when some things did come off.. Yes we have lost our unbeaten record and Giroud's late strike means we have lost a first game in a season in a bit by more than 2 goals ... but so did Man City today. But this is a very different Leicester City to the one that started last season ... then we set out with a game plan to nullify Arsenal and fair play it worked ... we hung on grimly for a draw ... this team is much different and for me far more exciting and refreshing ... we tried to win from start to finish and were simply undone by a very very good side in the end ... If we put in that type of attacking performance whilst addressing some of the defensive problems then we will get something against most sides in this league ... think we do need to consider whether we might need a speedier centre-back partnership mind ...
I don't know about hanging on grimly for the draw last season - I seem to remember we were unlucky not to pinch it. I agree we started the game playing to our strengths (attacking), but the second half we didn't and we were a clear second best in every department. Nothing refreshing or exciting in that.
We have very different views that is clear ...I love the way we are now playing ... it is a very different approach ... much rather lose like that rather than like those sterile home defeats to Stoke, Palace, West Brom last season ...today was still fabulous entertainment... those games certainty weren't. ...
