Just think Gus will, at full strength, pick his men. I would. I love Catts but as many on here say, an early Yellow and we play with ten men, centre backs, both are clocking on, time for the young guns. Gus hasn't had a full strength squad to pick from. He may surprise one or two on here. The only lads I have left out have played well enough to land us in the bottom six last few years.
I know what you mean. Better there than the 'do it yourself' role at inside left. His long range shooting is dreadful. He thinks he's Craig Gardner striking the ball, more like Kenwyne Jones. Gards could swerve his drives Conner put it's it straight at the keeper every time and never packs enough power to force the keeper to spill. Interestingly not a single poster has put him at inside left. Hopefully Gus will get this out of his head soon and start playing the lad down the middle. Rotating him and Fletch will keep them on their toes imo.
What I think would see us scoring goals and winning games is 4-2-3-1 with the 3 behind the striker being Johnson-----Alvarez------Giaccherini Cattermole Rodwell Bricutt and Larsson can fight it out for the two spots behind and Fletcher and Wickham compete to be the man up top.
