It's something he really needs to work on. It seems like he doesn't have any confidence or conviction when in a shooting position. He should have a couple of goals to his name already this season...had a great chance against Villa but he cut inside and didn't even get a shot off in the end. He has hit the post a couple of times already and he will get us goals but he should score more as he often gets himself in great positions.
There was an amusing bit on Player at the end of last season. Schneiderlin said to an interviewer that he would like to score more. 'Try shooting then,' said Adkins as he walked by. This is the problem for Adam. A striker would shoot straightaway, but a MF is always looking in case another player is in a better position. This can result in an opportunity being missed.
he has never had a strong shot, playing on the left he generally curls it around the keeper with his right foot. Playing in the middle took this aspect away, but he seems to have moved back to the left to accomadate Gaston (who if I was manager could play anywhere he bloody wanted to). I would be suprised if Lallana does not get 12 goals this season if he stays on the left
