You need a manager first!! How about Sparkey?? I'm not refering to the miserable git on here either........... please log in to view this image
Phillis - please go play with the big boys now and leave us lower echelon clubs alone - you know we're not worthy of your presence. As far as needing a manager first, how very true. You should know all about that having had three this past 3 years. They never last long at a small club. Let's see how Buck gets on in the Prem. Personally, I think he'll do very well, but with a different club than you - standby for another recruit at the council shed!!...........
What would be wrong with Gerrard and Kienan in the central back four roles? That leaves McNugget and Blake as full backs with at least 1 other brought in to keep them on their toes if not send one of them (Blake) to the bench to cover all four places?
Xsnaggs Positive - don't forget Quinny, one of our most consistent (in a good way) players in the second half of the season Negative - Naylor - he must have had some dirt on DJ to get another year on his contract
If we get Gerrard back im not worried about the defence too much. As for Chopra I think we should probably be looking at getting the lad fit and motivated again. £1m isnt a lot for a striker who has the goods to score 20+ a year. Midfield, I dont actually know where to start so im not going to. And on a final note....did I read Naylor has another year on his contract, please tell me it aint so.
I also think we should keep Chopra - a mill is no big bucks for a PROVEN goalscorer at this level. Depends a lot on the Bellamy situation I suppose, but to get rid of him before a new manager comes in as well would be a bad move.
Yep, keep Chopra absolutely. Look what you get for a million these days (Beattie was £800k). You have to pull of an absolute blinder to get a 20 goal striker for that. Chopra is capable of doing this again if he can keep his fat arse out of the casino which I used to see him in all the time.
