WE went to Cardiff yesterday for GB v Uruguay. Huge jams on the motorway to get to stadium, but we went from Parkway. My other folks came from Oxford and arrived ten minutes before the end of the first match! Prematch build up was electric. First half was soporific, but suddenly woken up when GB scored with a few seconds to go to HT. Second half a bit more lively because Uruguay seemed to realise that they needed to win and the game could have gone either way. Probably would have gone to Uruguay if Luis Suarez hadn't had a stinker!
Be warned if you go on Saturday. When we eventually found the right place to wait for our train, (signs or marshalling were pretty much non-existant), we waited in a ginormous queue for return train for over two hours, then we were put on a coach to Parkway. Huge traffic jams again, eventually arrived at Parkway after 1 o'clock in the morning. God knows what happened to the 20 thousand plus people we left at Cardiff still waiting for trains.
Having said that we had a good day out and hope you do if you go on Saturday.
