I would prefer to see Wickham partner Fletcher up front, Fletcher on his own will struggle against the very physical back four of West Ham.

Gus won't play 4-4-2 though - whether we're at home or not. I think the formation is dead personally - more teams are flooding the midfield with 5 now so 4-4-2 doesn't work and get's outpassed in the middle

One thing I'd say about this game is we should employ a shoot on site policy from what I saw of Adrian last season. Nothing stuck to him - even the more straightforward ones seemed to bounce off so get Larsson and AJ around the box taking a few pot shots and it may come off.

    Agree with this.

Catts has to play in a game against a physical and talented midfield, but Bridcutt is far more worthy of the shirt than Rodwell.

I'd play Connor up top with Alvarez in behind, but I doubt it will happen that way, Seb has been excellent of late too though so in that system he'd have to drop out, unless we put him RM, his favoured position, and his international position, but not one where he's ever performed for us.

A win would be massive in this as Sam has put a very good, balanced side together.

I agree with Marcus on Adrian, he's atop class shot stopper, but he's a parrier, getting a midfielder close behind attacking play could be vital.
