Davis out, Long in...go two up top.
Gardos starts for me. He was in training last week so he should be fit enough by the weekend, even though Maya did okay yesterday.

I didn't want to drop Davis but playing him on the wing is a bit of a waste, but then I couldn't drop any of the three midfielders for him. If we had another good winger it would be Long instead of Pelle and a proper winger on the wing.
I'd drop Davis as well. Really doesn't offer that much attacking wise. Gaston in for him if fit. If not Long in.
Gutted to be missing this one ... first home match of the season of a new era and all.
Having seen Taider play, he's gotta be in there...but yes, the problem is "who for?"
Off the bench for Davis and we lose a bit of midfield mettle.
Bertrand? JWP? Big Vic? Decisions, decisions.
Tadic and Taider. Scousers may have the SAS, but we've got TAT! And if anyone thinks of putting Ward-Prowse in there...
I think taider has plenty of mettle. maybe less discipline. He'd at least have stung the hands of the goalie on sunday.Having seen Taider play, he's gotta be in there...but yes, the problem is "who for?"

It'd have to be Davis dropped really. He's the weakest of our midfield starters (which is no insult, Victor and Morgan take some beating and JWP has a hell of a future ahead of him) and if Taider is good enough to deserve a spot in the first team then there's no other choice.
Same team for me....if Gaston is fit he could maybe replace Isgrove on the bench

I'd have to REALLY disagree with this, there is only one player at the club (JRod) who scored or assisted more goals for us last season than Davis.
