It's little wonder that Evans is a bit rusty, the last league game he started was on New Years Day.

I agree, it must be a confidence thing, he has played brilliantly in one game then been dropped for the next.

That's because he's not good enough to be in the starting 11

We played six games in December, we didn't lose any of them, guess who started in all six?

Any the one before his last start he was brillinat (against Leeds).

It's ridiculous that Alex Bruce is starting in midfield ahead of Evans, Cairney, Olofinjana and even McKenna. It was embarrassing watching him against Brighton.

    My team tomorrow would be:

    Stockdale
    Chester McShane Hobbs
    Elmo Koren Evans Quinn Brady
    Gedo Simpson

Oxley Rosenior Olofinjana Cairney Stewart Meyler Proschwitz

Apparently Fathi was training on his own on Sunday when everyone else had the day off.

Meyler and Quinn need competition for places, no one should be guaranteed a starting place, and I sometimes wonder if that is showing in their performances.

    Stockdale
    Chester Hobbs McShane
    Elmo Meyler Quinn Koren Brady
    Gedo Simpson

I still dont know where Boyd would fit in this if he does turn up here...

Did he not become a father just recently ?

It's not an excuse but such a life changing event affects people in different ways.

It certainly does. Although the wife of Ronan O'Gara (?) the Irish egg chasing captain went into labour at 8pm on Saturday. He was out of the hospital by 11pm and played against England yesterday at 3pm. Got beat mind

Great, another midfielder to fill a strikers space...

Why dont we just field 10 midfielders?

Spain played without any strikers on the field. And they pass the ball around nearly as well as us

They have midfielders who can find the back of the net, regularly, though ;)

No wonder they lost, the father was Brian O'Driscoll, the capain was Jamie Heaslip, the three of them must have been punching lumps out of each other before the game over the various issues you've raised.
