Agree with Tramo on this one. No way should Connor start. Playing lone forward away from home , if ever, is not his game. Sylla plays well with Mackie to support him and if we're behind by the time Mackie is done in for the night, I would bring on Connor to play with Sylla. We'll probably be chasing the game by then. I would like to see Smith and Washington paired up for the Blackburn game.

Pending our next set of injuries everyone will get a few chances so let's not waste them in a game where work rate and organisation with a view to grinding out a clean sheet and the odd breakaway attempt will be the order of the day.

Can't say I've noticed.
 
Be watching this from behind the sofa. I thought Luongo & Doughty lacked mobility, amongst other footballing attributes, in the midfield on Saturday & if they are in there again tonight the toon & Shelvey in particular will tear us a new one.

Going up there and sitting back will result in another drumming. Would love to see us go there and play without fear , play 2 up top and occupy their defenders but alas we will probably play one up with no chance of retaining possession in their half and just invite wave after wave of attack.

Stopping over on business in Newcastle tonight..... but didn't see this fixture until yesterday and it's all ticket. Might as well be 200 miles away!!!! <laugh>
