How f***ing good is it not knowing what the team on Saturday should be because everyone has been playing so well, rather than because everyone has been so crap? It's even hard to know who to leave off the bench.

Assuming Doyle is back but Cirkin still out:

Hoffman

Winchu
Doyle
Flanagan
Huggins

O'Nien
Evans

Embleton
Pritchard
McGeady

Stewart

Subs: Burge, Wright, Alves, Neil, Dajaku, O'Brien, Broadhead / Gooch

Next Tuesday game irrelevant for resting players on Saturday. Full strength against Portsmouth, subs and youngsters in the EFL Trophy.

Saying that I'm still not sure what full strength best 11 is yet, especially after last night.

ah ffs I thought Tuesday was a league game as well... okay my mind is changing... will edit

Got to assume Cirkin and Broadhead will be out. I don't like playing Embleton wide so would go:

Hoffmann
Winiesta Flandini Doyle Huggins
Neil Evans
Gooch Embleton McGeady
Stewart

Subs: Durge, Wright, Alves, O'Nien, O'Brien, Dajaku, Pritchard

I'd prefer not to start Embleton on the wing when we have Broadhead, Dajuku and Gooch able to play there.

I like Evans but for me Neil has to start and to be quite honest what I saw of Broadhead and Dajaku last night I would play them instead of McGeady and Pritchard, their movement aswell as Stewarts, Dan Neil would have a field day.
Dajaku was constantly pulling out as far right as possible then making runs across their back line, he is going to be some player

I thought Geads had a really good game last night. Nice to have tough selection problems.

I thought he did aswell, like you say it's nice to have options and be able to mix things up.
The fact the opposition will be preparing in the lead up to a game and I'm sure McGeady will be someone they are looking at stopping then when the team sheet comes through he's not starting, kind of throws their preparations out the window

No idea but we’ve got a genuine selection headache for the right reasons. And if LJ means it when he says we need 15 games to gel we’re gonna have some team this season, and hopefully it carries on when we go up.

Broadhead should be straight in if he's fit

If. Cirkin is fit Id have him and Huggins at fullback despite how well WinChester has done. It’s a really nice problem to have good options at fullback after so long with the likes of Mcfadzean.

Just can’t drop Winchester. You drop a player playing that well it could absolutely kill his confidence.

edit and, for the record, I had nothing against mcfadz as a player. He gave his all. He just wasn’t good enough. Never hid, was never scared of the game. Considering the abuse he got from so of our fans, he should be commended.

Really tough choice for the gaffer, as everyone is playing so well. At the moment I think we'd be confident regardless of who starts. Perhaps we'll have to get used to a Guardiola style squad rotation.

Good problems to have.

injury doubts on that back four though. Flanagan went off injured so it will be interesting to see. Could end up with Alves snd Wright in there.

no way can we drop Winchester either. Been superb so far.

Its a knacker as well as a great headache to have regarding the team. Personally I would prefer the same defence to start, which is seriously unlucky for Cirkin if he's fit enough to play and if so, would be on the bench. I thought Evans was class in midfield and set the platform for attacks and maybe put him alongside O'Nien. I would then go with a front 4 of McGeady, Broadhead playing the number 10 role (if fit, Embleton if not) and Dajaku with Stewart up front, playing a 4-2-3-1 formation. O'Brien, Neil, Doyle , Cirkin, Alves, Pritchard, Gooch (if now fit) alongwith Burge will fight for a place on the bench. God I'm glad I don't have to make this decision!
