Following last Saturday's debacle and last nights second win against premier opposition what team would you start with on Saturday? Did the new defenders do enough? Will the team that played last night handle another game in a short space of time? Clean sheet so I say try to keep as many as the same 11 where possible. My team..

Embleton (if fit)

I wonder what Ross will do?

Where does he play 09, two strikers or one plus Mcgeady and Maguire?

Who plays LB and RB etc
 
I wish Mcgeouch would start getting picked infront of Leadbitter. Hes a much better player imo.
Id like to see Power come in for Dobson aswell, he'll be buzzing after that wonder goal. Id also like to see Lynch and Willis form a partnership, they could be a force physically. Their both built like brick shyte houses which would bode well in this league. Flanagan and Baldwin were bullied last season which cost us.

Fingers crossed Mcnulty is fit. Hes by far our best striker.

Its good that we have these options. Our squad is strong, Ross needs to find his best team asap because he still hasnt got a clue!
I hope Boch starts at left back. Hume is a better option to come off the bench against tired legs and he can also come on and play furthur up field in Mcgeadys position if need be.

Same team as last night for me, Embleton (sadly injured) so replaced with MacGeady, restore McNulty if fit and Willis in for Flanagan, Would prefer Wyke to Grigg, so a bench of Big Jon, Hume, Ozzy (or Flanagan) , Dobson, Leadbitter, Wyke ( or Grigg) who needs to pull his finger out, or be shipped out sap.

Will mcgeady be fit ?, if not i would like to see Kimp brought in his place. Also i would start Wyke, Grigg needs a good heading training session.

De Bock looks a bit immobile to me. He never overlapped and did not deliver a cross the whole match. When he went forward, he seemed to take up positions that McGeady might take when the ball is in the middle third. Embleton and then Hume played like wingbacks providing the width and the crosses, and seemed responsible for tracking back and covering the right attacking mid on counters down our left flank.

With De Bock it almost looks like we are playing with three at the back on the left side and with a conventional back four on the right.

He was beaten badly two times, that I remember, and had a clumsy challenge just outside our penalty box, but he also had some good challenges as well.

Yeah I remember reading that he is a solid enough defender but we shouldn't expect any heroics going forward so your account doesn't surprise me.

I'd probably settle for that actually, the amount of space we leave when we play an attacking LB like Hume is scary.

Maybe we should play them both down the left with Hume on the wing and Geads inside at No10 role?

Absolutely mate I think it would get the most out of both Hume and McGeady. Hume has the pace and energy to get back to help Bocky but he's a bit inexperienced to own the LB role at this point. Very useful player going forward though.

McGeady could be a revelation in the central role behind the main striker , if he is up for it, hes a natural in there, and would score a hatfull, imo. with Hume and Embleton competeing out wide gaining experience sounds spot on to me, come on JR give it a go.

We kept a clean sheet for the first time this season. I wish that people would stop always looking for negatives.

Agree Be Bop <laugh> sounds like just what we need at present at left back, and McLaughlan looked the part on the other side at Sheffield, if they can get bedded in they give us a platform to work on, and suddenly we have a team selection problem in mid field that most managers in this league could only dream of, the key to the attacking set up imo is McGeady's role, and the fact that we did not miss our best player against Sheffield is room for thought, I say get him to play inside and on paper the team looks balanced and exciting enough to see us challenging the top two spots in no time,
