no Lallana?

Edit: that's bizarre, as your edit appeared in my post after I posted it .... weird.

We played our first game of the season away from home with three 18 year olds in the starting line up. Was that out of necessity? Not according to the manager as quoted in The Guardian; When asked about Shaw, Chambers and JWP, Pochettino said "all I can say is that I am confident that they are good enough players".

So will all three start again on Saturday? I have absolutely no idea, but I won't be worried if they do.

Surely JWP has to be at least on the bench?

Honestly can't see room for him. Would rather have more attacking options like Mayuka, Punch and Lallana on the bench. And if Adam starts, it's likely Gaston will be on the bench.

This is just great. Where's Barry when you neeed him Even he couldn't complain about this squad. Could he.........

Happy with our attacking options now. Still Puncheon missing from that 18:emoticon-0111-blush

I see it lining up like this

--------Boruc-----------------
Clyne--Maya--Lovren--Shaw
----Wanyama--Schniederlin----
-----------Lambert---------
Rodriguez---------------Lallana------
----------Osvaldo------------

Still not convinced that Gaston isn't a waste of space

We are going to need a considerably bigger bench :)

My team: Boruc; Clyne, Maya, Lovren, Shaw; Morgan, Wanyama, Lallana; Lambert, Rodriguez, Osvaldo.

That is what I would like to see, but obviously will change slightly depending on opposition.

Boruc
Chambers - Maya - Lovren - Shaw
Wanyama - Schneiderlin
Rodriguez - Ward-Prowse - Lallana
Lambert

Subs: K.Davis, Clyne, Fonte, S.Davis, Cork, Osvaldo, Ramirez

Just the one change. Don't fix what ain't broke.

One of the most pleasing aspects of Saturday was that amongst the millions of pounds, there were three 18 year olds that came through our ranks. So satisfying.

Challenge for MP will be keeping the established players happy as well as continuing to develop players like Sinclair and Isgrove. Difficult decisions but thats what he' paid for!
