they'll probably keep it pretty much the same.

the only possible changes as i see it are :

    1. root to 6, drop bairstow
    2. taylor at 6, drop bairstow
    3. tremlett (or possibly onions if fit) for bresnan

I'm pretty confident that they'll give Root another go up top and I can't see them dropping 2 players from a winning side, so I'd say either the same side as durham, or bring in either tremlett or taylor.

Now let's have your combined team on the other thread <ok> ;)

Bressy out due to a stress fracture of his back.

Assuming no one else gets injured,I would play
same 11,with Tremmers in for Bressy.

    No point in "resting" anyone.
It will be 10 days since they last played.
Lets get at the Aussies, and crush them.

    Remember all those humiliating defeats
in the not so distant past.

    Roll on Weds,can't wait.

It might be worth bringing Ben Stokes in for Bresnan. We are desperately short of all-rounders so might be worth giving him a go.

I think Stokes would leave us too light on bowling Era.

One for the future, but at 6 or 7,with bowling to
    support the main 4 bowlers,IMO.

It does seem that we are spoiled for choice at 6,
    i.e Morgan,Bopara,Bairstow,Taylor,Stokes,Root,
but where is Botham when you need him??

I don't think so. He's taken 32 wickets at 24.93 this season. He's a genuine all-rounder. He averages 35 with the bat and 27 with the ball in his FC career.

Would Woakes (and others) not have had similar stats at some point ?

    Cook
    Root
    Trott
    KP
    Bell
    Bairstow
    Prior
    Broad
    Swann
    Tremlett
    Anderson

That would be my team provided Jimmy is not suffering. If he is then rest him and bring in Finn or Kerrigan depending on pitch. Prior badly needs to find some runs. The only batting change I'd consider is Taylor but I think you have to give Bairstow time especially as he has made starts.
