Harper Rosie - Macca - Bruce - Dudge Stewart - Meyler - Boyd - McLean Fryatt - Prozzy Jak, Graham, Townsend, Jahraldo Martin, Brady, Chester, Wilson
I think Stewart is still injured isn't he? I'd expect to see that backline, but I wouldn't have thought McLean would play unless we were trying to put him in the shop window, in which case he'd start up front and Dudge would play wide, with Townsend at LB. Didn't Bruce say that all the players who started on the bench will start tonight? So it'll be: Harper Rosenior (who looked great coming on late on Saturday) Macca Bruce Townsend Boyd Meyler Wilson Dudgeon Fryatt Proschwitz Subs: Jakupovic, Chester, Wilson, Margetts, Jarahldo-Martin, Figueroa, Aluko (I think a few extra minutes will do him some good, he's still getting over his injury and he doesn't quite look 100%. He played well against Norwich though, covered every blade of grass!)
Mail are reporting both McLean and Stewart have been welcomed back in. I expect it to be a shop window exercise. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-19711923-detail/story.html?#axzz2d3w2ZFr9
Yeah just read that. Seems strange that we'd use this as a shop window exercise, when we've just had a striker suspended and need to get NP and MF up to speed. I could maybe see Stewart starting (I think he'll be keen to push on and make his mark; I think he'll be too good for Orient.), but I'd rather see CJM than McLean. We should be giving youngsters something to aim for, instead of trying to make our fringe players more attractive. If clubs have made offers for McLean, then surely we wouldn't need to show him off (or worse, have him play **** and never get rid of him). I'd have just paid him off, but then we did spend £1.2m on him so I guess the Allams want a bit back. After all, he was their first signing wasn't he?
Curtis Davies has just tweeted saying he has arrived in London for the game at the big "O's" this evening. I can only assume he is watching and not there to play.
Perhaps he will captain the side this evening. SB needs an excuse to play junior in midfield, of course.
Harper Rosenior Bruce Macca Dudgeon Stewart Meyler Boyd Mclean Prozzy Fryatt But I think Bruce will start a few first teamers, Chester and maybe one or two others.
Unless Bruce fancies giving Davies some game time in a 3-5-2? McShane Davies Bruce Rosie Meyler ??? Boyd Dudgeon Fryatt Prozzy
Read in the paper that Graham wants to play tonights match which may push Prossy to the bench. If this happens then I feel sorry for prossy, what does he have to to try and get a city start?
I expect Bruce to want to win this game, just like any other game. I dont see us fielding our starting 11 for Man C, but I certainly expect a strong bench. who would be capable of turning things around if we need it.
