  1. Man Utd clearly have good players, they wouldn't be at the top every season otherwise <ok>

I understand your point regarding Kuyt but feel the need to point out that he got the backing as a CF when he first arrived. He started to get the stick when Rafa moved him to RW but he won majority of the fans over, unfortunately some still criticised him to the day he left though.

Joe Allen is more in liking to Lucas but not as good. Henderson is the spitting image of Lucas' early Liverpool career IMO <ok>

Allen won fans over playing deep. But I get what your saying.

  3. When he first joined he was playing deep but he was also in form, he was getting 90%+ pass ratings every game. He hasn't done that for a while now. I am not convinced he is a deep playing midfielder but nor do I see him as the AM either. I personally think Gerrard, Henderson and Lucas are a much better trio with the latter two providing plenty of energy and tackling whilst Gerrard controls the games in a sort of Pirlo-esque manner. Especially important to have energy in the middle for a 433 to work too and, although Allen isn't work shy, he just doesn't have the presence when it comes to defensive duties at this moment in time. He is only young though (22?) and will get better <ok>

Interesting one. Rodgers said Johnson has fitness doubts so McLaughlin could come in to cover. On the bench at least.

McLaughlin sounds like a potential star.

Done well in the NextGen games i've seen this season. Could be a reward for those performances. Potential bench slot for Sunday's game? Maybe even a starting slot as Johnson, Kelly & Flanagan are all injured.

That leaves us with Wisdom at right-back.

    -

He also got a call-up to the senior squad for his country, Northern Ireland, for their friendly with Malta on the 6th of February.

Not too sure why he's listed as a midfielder in the above link. He is a right-back!

Would you prefer Wisdom and McLaughlin as the two full backs or Wisdom and Robinson?

McLaughlin and Robinson is to big a gamble i say.

We could play a back three and not bother with a defensive midfielder.

    ----------------Jones-----------------
    -----Wisdom---Skrtel---Carragher----
    -McLaughlin-----------------Downing-
    -----------Shelvey---Allen-------------
    ------Suso----Sturridge---Borini------

Looks defensive on paper but is not when you look at the players.

Maybe swap Mclaughlin for Robinson at the break and good 433. Robinson LB, Suso AM, Downing LW.

I would like to see Wisdom & Robinson. Robinson would benefit from the minutes he'll get and i'm alright for Wisdom to continue. Deserves the position at the moment.

Think Rodgers may put McLaughlin on the bench. Would be surprised to see him start. Though Rodgers isn't afraid of putting the younger players in if he thinks they are good enough...

    Back five could be:

    ----------------Jones----------------------
    Wisdom - Carragher - Coates - Robinson

    ...

Shelvey will probably start, Suso probably will & Borini will.

Suarez on the bench. Gerrard rested.

We have to play a strong team or we could get turned over. Let's leave it to BR cos that's what he gets paid loads of money to decide on.
