Yet people get all pissy when you suggest Sagbo should start up top in front of Graham. Even against a very good Chelsea side Sagbo looked streets ahead of Graham.

I understand what you're saying, but I too would drop Graham. Just for the simple reason that a few times I remember the ball came close to him and he didn't even make an attempt to go for it, he was too busy day dreaming. He might have had circles run round him, but day dreaming and not even attempting to go for the ball is a cardinal sin, imo

My team would be (albeit I know we won't see it)

    ------------------------McGregor-------------------------

    Rosenior--------Davies----------Chester---------Figueroa

    Aluko----------Huddleston-------Livermore----------Brady

    ---------------Sagbo-----------Proschwitz--------------

Bench: Harper, McShane, Koren, Boyd, Graham, Elmohamady, Meyler

Maybe with Aluko and Brady swapping wings

Somehow I doubt Proschwitz is the answer at this stage. I'm assuming that in training, players are/aren't performing, considering that NP or MF weren't even on the bench yesterday, I can't see SB dropping Graham after one game & giving NP the start.

I agree with you that I can't see Bruce dropping Graham after one game, but I also don't think he'll drop other people he should e.g. Meyler, Bruce etc. Sadly I think he will stick behind them for quite a few games.

On the Proschwitz situation, I do think he will do a lot better given a chance. He wasn't given a chance last season, Simpson got tonnes of time compared to him and he did **** all. How is a foreign player supposed to settle into a rhythm if hes chucked on for the last 7/8 mins every so often? Proschwitz will be more suited to the EPL than the Championship imo as its a different game and will prove people wrong given that little break.

Yes I think this is the team. Graham should be played again it wasn't his fault he wasn't in the game, he didn't get any service from his team mates, they were too busy doing other things like trying to stop Chelsea.

Graham was shocking compared to Sagbo, he couldn't get his foot on the ball (and didnt look like he wanted to dig in either). Where as when Sagbo played centrally he was a man mountain. Held everything up and looked to lay off to the wingers. In the same damn game!

Regardless of the opposition, in our last match Sagbo was the better of the two. If we insist on playing one central striker, it has to be Sagbo on merit.

It appears to me that Graham needs someone to play off, ideally in a front two.

I dont understand why people would put Brady in a midfield 3. He looked out of place there in the first half, and suddenly came to life when he was moved to the wing.

Since when did Livermore become a holding midfielder? He's already said he's come to play box-to-box. Thudd or Meyler (or both) will be sitting in front of the defence.

A spurs coach was on a radio show about the transfers saying he likes a tackle n plays of the simple ball, just an idea.

Livermore interview with Burnsy went something along the lines of "I've been played a little deeper at spurs but I'm here to be box-to-box" or something like that...

If Meyler can start releasing the ball a little quicker I dont think we have any problem using him as the holding player. He just seemed to dawdle with it on Sunday.

    I'd like to see

    Thudd-Meyler
    Aluko Livermore Brady
    Sagbo

Meyler to win it, play it simple to Thudd and him to do the magic.

On watching the game back SB pre-game interview with Shreeves,, SB said that he wanted to reward many of the players who had got us up. Plus it was unfair to start TH and JL at such short notice. So with a full weeks training and the circus now gone the serious stuff can start. I was at the game and Koren and Graham were by far the worst 2 players from the starting 11. Rabbits in headlights. We need out best players to strart if fit and alsio options off the bench. It will be interesting to see if Gary Hooper can get fit in time. Twt as always.

Against Chelsea very few PL players are actually. Judge them against lower PL teams first.

Again, the Chelsea game is not one to judge anyome with.

For no other reason than we have better skilled players at the club. We also need game changers off the bench and we also have a coc game 4 days later when the rest of the players i suspect will get a game.

Although there's no way of knowing I have a feeling brady would like to be CAM. It clearly didn't work imo.

+1 I like that. Although I don't see Bruce dropping Koren. That's the problem at the moment.
