Silva doesnt play centrally. He plays from wide areas and drifts around. I dont think it will be a long term issue for Suso as Mata, Silva and Cazorla are not big players. They Mata and Cazorla have pumped themselves up.
I'd be looking to give Robbo a few minutes at LB against Norwich, give Johnson a break but on the bench incase we're screwing up (which is likely). He's promising and just needs game time to improve. If he impresses, he can be first choice cover and Johno can stay on the right where he's more effective. Sturridge, Suarez, Hendo, Gerrard are shoe ins to start. I think Shelvey will start because he's not played much lately and I would say Lucas will get another game to keep building his sharpness/fitness. Some weird formation like, unless he drops Suarez back behind Sturridge. --------Lucas-Gerrard------ --Henderson--Suarez--Shelvey- ------------Sturridge--------
You might be right. I didn't see. When I have seen them this season it has usually been: --Silva--Tevez--Nasri-- --------Aguero-------- or --Silva--Toure--Nasri-- ---------Tevez--------- Edit: Maybe we could use Suarez and Suso like Nasri and Silva.
I think he is used in both. I think he excels in the No. 10 role. I think Suso is similar, mata, cazorla, they all have that craftiness about them.
Im going to put this out there: Dani Pacheco should get on the bench for saturdays game against Norwich.
Quite like that - we're desperately short of options on left and right wing. Sterling needs a rest and Downing needs replacing.
shelvey and gerrard MUST NEVER PLAY AT THE SAME TIME! we won with henderson on, we've added sturridge who combined well with suarez. it would surely be common sense to play both of these, if you add gerrard and lucas into that mix then the single only question in my mind for an 11 is do you stick with sterling or not? if not who comes in? after that tactics are flexible. Get the 11 right, get gerrard advanced and working with suarez and sturridge... after that the thing is easy. borin/sterling/downing/suso... just pick the guy...
Agree with MITO. Shelvey and Gerrard are far too similiar to be playing in midfield. Henderson definitely gives us more energy and fight, and will happily do the donkey work.
Yep! Shelvey should be coming on for Gerrard when a game is virtually won, this every minute of every PL game for Gerrard needs to stop now we're over the halfway mark of the season. Can't believe Henderson gt dropped for Allen vs utd, he has been really solid since he has been given a string of games. A must starter for me along side Lucas
There are major flaws in starting Borini, Sturridge, Sterling and Suarez. If one gets injured then we have no like for like cover. If the attack plan is not working then we have no way of changing the dynamic. We have no chnage options to rest anybody should we build a 3/4 goal lead.
----------------Reina Wisdom---Skrtel---Agger---Johnson ----------Gerrard--Lucas ----------------Suso ---Suarez----Sturridge---Sterling
I think Sterling needs a run on the bench to rest and get back on course. He doesnt improve the same when he plays atm, he just blends in. Borini will need easing back in. Start Suso. He can add some creativity and movement on the opposite side to Suarez.
Henry will insist on playing, have an awful game and then explain that he was only awful because he is over the age of 24.
