OK a bit of a different spin on all the will they wont they transfer banter. How many of our current first team squad do you think are likely to line up for our first PL game in August?

I'm hoping the Board cough up and we stick to our guns and no-one leaves. I'm also assuming Jrod is fit. So my squad.

To be honest there is nowt much wrong with the team we have when fit but I think raising the bar for a keeper, centre back and target striker (allowing Lambert to play deeper) would nt obe a bad idea.

I can see Gallagher developing quick though, Targett coming in to allow Shaw to move forward a la Bale and Chambers providing cover at centre back. So a second top class keeper whislt Gazza develops would be top of the shopping list in my view.

Hope we hold on to all our players though to give us depth.

I would still expect Fonte to feature, but suspect we will buy a CB and start with him. Do you think JRod will be fit by August...not sure myself.

Difficult to see us getting 4 first team quality players without selling anyone. I think it'll be something like this

No one is allowed to post a team that doesn't include Shaw (them's the rules...at least in my house).
 
Would be fantastic to be able to hold on to what we have got, get 4-5 quality players in and really progress next season.

That bench looks incredibly strong too. Would be great to see.
 
Assuming we make that deal with Chelsea: Shaw for 15mil plus Torres and A Cole - I would put those two in my starting line up and spend the cash on a gk or a centre back.

I think we'll get 3 in this summer. I'm hoping for 4, but 3 is to fill basic needs.

Also I'm interested to see most reckon Boruc will be willing to stay on as backup, not so sure myself, he's probably performed well enough for us that he could go and get the number 1 shirt somewhere else.

Anyway.

I think he and us could be made for each other. Less sure about Ashley Cole, as that just reminds me of when Bridge went to Chelsea and we got Le Saux, at just the point in his career that his legs went. In fact that didn't work out for anyone, that deal. Don't go to Chelsea Liuke, unless you want John Terry to shag yer missus. (pretty sure Luke will stay actually).
