A penalty could be a tough watch, even with our incredible record. Le Tiss went into a game on 99 goals for us & missed his one & only spot kick. He later in the match scored his 100th goal, but that often gets forgotten because of the miss. Would be pretty ironic for history to repeat.

I remember that 100th goal. A real beauty(unsurprisingly).
Great memories of that Matty free kick at Newcastle when St James park was being redeveloped and no away fans were allowed in. All you could hear was Alan Ball screaming.
Sure Obi Wan would prefer to remember the numerous thrashings in the premier league years.

Shaw the only change for me, but Ramirez had one of his best games against the toon at St Mary's.

Of course!

I'm going for a 2-0 win to the Toon.

We're starting to pick up where we left off last season, and we look good.

Looking forward to the game lads. <ok>

--------------------Boruc------------------
Clyne-------Yoshi---------Jos--------Shaw (is not fox... if not forren)
----------Schneiderlein------Cork---------
Puncheon-------Davis----------J-rod------
---------------Lambert--------------------

Subs- Davis, Fox, Gaston, Lallana, Mayuka, Forren, Richardson.

Davis HAS to start, sub gaston on at 60m. J-Rod HAS to start, put lallana on after gaston. Cannot drop Jos as he has recently performed well, also I was impressed with yoshi against city. Mayuka on with 10m to go if lambo tired- we need to see this guy play!

Our formation/line up -

----------Cisse-----------

Gouffran---Sissoko-----Jonas

------Tiote----Cabaye-----

Santon--Colo--S.Taylor--Debuchy

------------Krul--------------

Confident we can get something. If we play as we have in our last three matches you'll have to be at your best to stop us!

Hey lamb, any chance you could leave the match thread to me? I'm feeling confident after last time. :D

------------Boruc

Clyne - Yoshida - Hooiveld - Shaw

------Schneiderlin - Cork

---Puncheon - Davis - Lallana

------------Lambert

I think Lallana needs 60/70 minutes under his belt to really get back into form and he's been playing well when he comes on so I'd like to seem him start. I stuck with Hooiveld but honestly that second CB position is a tough one as we don't know whether Forren is doing well in training and whether he's ready to start, and Jos has got his confidence back and I'm very happy to see him start again.
Ramirez, at the moment, is not as effective as Steven Davis, who's passing and pressing has been excellent, give him another start, he's not as creative, but far more consistent.

We have always been a thorn in Newcastle's side. So I think we will get at least one point.

Pardew really should go all out to get something from the Europa League game as they haven't won anything in such a long time and let us be honest they are not going to be relegated.

I agree with this, though it's a shame to drop Rodriguez. I'd stick with Hooiveld based on form alone, he's been very good recently, Forren will have to fight to get his place off him at the moment.

That kind of attitude might just get them relegated though!

No way would I drop Rodriguez, he was pure class against city. Shame I may not be able to go to the game, I have the norovirus :(.
