Rest completely: Suarez, Gerrard, Sterling, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel. Wisdom could do with some more game time if he will continue at RB. Wouldn't hurt Lucas to play a little bit from the bench, to continue his match fitness. Always worry about these games, getting knocked ot by lower sides is a terrible way to go so a mix of reserves and first teamers, lets take it seriously and use the subs if we are winning comfortably.
I'm genuinely more worried about Mansfield than I am Man Utd. I know what to expect with United, we tend to play them 2-3 times a season

I can see Sturridge playing this one from the start and getting 60mins, he won't be thrown straight into the team against United, but might be on the bench. Defense is pretty easy to predict. Shelvey will play, Suso will, Sahin will and possibly Allen (assuming BR sticks with Lucas/Hendo/Gerrard for United which works nice imo, depends how much he loves Joe though...). Last spot might be Downing, but he might equally be rested for United which he deserves on form. I'd play Pacheco personally.
who knows... but i would hope gerrard is not on holiday as we are looking at 9 days to utd away and frankly we need to get working monday on that game, not thursday. anyway.. most teams have a lot of good sense thats posted. who knows what brendan rodgers will do. he seems now to have his favorites so i expect to see carragher and shelvey for sure... after that its anyones guess.... I'd say coates, jones and wisdom are certainly in the running but after that anyone could play.
He did alright there recently didn't he, getting his first PL goal similar to his EL goal. And he hit a good free kick from that position. I think there's a good chance he'll score against Mansfield.
Don't think he started on the right but he certainly got his goal from there. Point taken Not sure you can claim the freekick though, he could have been in net and still had thar effort. Not exactly a positional thing
what i'd say is ANYONE with a good attitude who plays positively and goes about playing this lot like they would then play utd the following week will do well. anyone who plays like the opposition don't merit their effrot will do badly. which will downing be?
