First match I've been to in a while and I must say I was shocked by the first half performance against Huddersfield. Such a bizarre line up for a home match and at one point I'm sure I saw Henry on the wing??? Surely we need to revert back to basics and play either 442 or two holding midfielders if we're completely up against it. Warnock seemed to gets us playing for the shirt again not sure how JFH is going to fare but at least one striker up front and 3 points against Hull would be a start.
Agree completely....... Feel that today could be the defining game of our season......play as we did against Brighton and the crowd get behind the side and act like a 12th man, but play as we did against Huddersfield based on what I've read on here and the crowd will be on the players backs almost from kick off and that's when the mistakes happen and all lose whatever confidence they have left....... C'mon Jimmy if you want the success here get the side to have a right good go, do that and the crowd will be with you even if we lose.....
Decided that the result is nothing to do with football Nuts came over and on the way to the match announced he had not seen us win in years...and the best he had seen was boring draws Nuts is not at the match today What can go wrong
What could go wrong? Well we're on telly for starters.......we always seem to concede in last 10 minutes.......play with no strikers.......blowing a gale.......pouring with rain.......bank holiday.....feel free to add to this.....
Epilogue: The final team was as follows: ------------------------- Green--------------------------- ---Onuoha-----Angella----Hall------Konchesky--- -----------------Henry -----------Faurlin------------- ----Phillips -----------Cherry--------------Hoillet---- --------------------------Polter---------------------------- Subs used were: Fer, Mackie, Luongo I have quickly scanned the posts and nobody guessed the starting line-up. I see that Nines was the closest with his prediction, however he chose Sandro instead of Henry.
I was going to say that - he's certainly no novice given his League One / Championship pedigree. I see rehabilitation help is on the way for Rob Green?
