There is an argument for that, but i'd like to see Wellens try to regain his form against a Forest reserve side.

I think its more to do with Wellens being tired then anything else. He said the other week both him and Paul Konchesky only train 4 times a week now because they getting on. I think an extra week off will do them a world of good

that is the other side to it.

Though I don't think he's good enough to be playing week in week out if he's only training 4 days a week and he's still tired.

Surely Danns should keep his place? It may ONLY be the FA cup but I for one love this competition and plus it is against Forest so.... Let's pick a strong side and attack them from the off especially with some of the lads that will be spurred on by good performances from yesterday like Danns, Kennedy and Schluup.

Well if you look at Matt Oakley over the past 2 seasons he hasnt became a bad player. His legs have simple gone and can no longer keep up with the pace. By doing this it saves their legs and they will benefit from it later on in their careers. I cant remember which game it was but towards the end of last season Bruno Berner came in for one of the home games and he hadnt played for some time. He was so far off the pace it was unbelievable and his legs had simple gone

Look at Ledley King he trains 2 a week, once in the swimming pool and once with the squad and he is still more then good enough

I would say that if any centre-midfielder needed resting, it'd be Abe. I think he was the only midfielder to play all three games over Christmas for us and he played 90 minutes in all those games and he is a player who does get around the park a lot and that is a big part of his game. So I think Yuki would benefit the most from a game off.

personally id like to give wellens the rest of the season off, king played much much better on mon, when wellens was nowhere to be seen, also very noticable that there was alot more bite and aggression in midfield without gallagher. who in my opinion is a luxury player, who's only real attribute is the threat he offers from free kicks and corner deliveries, tho to be fair up to now he hasn't had much competition. constantly ducking under the ball for headers, and bottling 50/50 challenges, is not made up for by the odd decent cross, which are prob the main reasons why so many fans find him infuriating.

apart from any cup tied players, or injuries, i would keep the same team for sat against the red dogs, at least they showed some fight, spirit and passion, AT LONG LONG LAST......................
