OK folks line drawn and time to move on. As Tom Dan and myself have all lost on our last match threads I think the baton falls to DTLW for Saturday?

In the meantime what do we do team wise. I watched the extended highlights on Sky and we competely dominated but were very poor defensively when Villa countered. What do we do to shore things up?

MP has limited options with Boruc, Victor, Morgan and Clyne all probably out.

A very weak bench and particuilarly so in midfield.


Thoughts
 
After his cross which led to Dani's goal last night I think we should play Fonte on the wing! Seriously though, if you look at the lineup Lambie has posted it compares very favourably to what we used for most of last season, even when we were doing well. Chambers played for our first three games this season and did well, and Cork and Davis ought to be Ok. Jack will want to do well after not playing particularly well last night.

Having said that I have a very bad feeling about this game.

CBK's temperment is a concern, imo. Maybe leave him on the bench and play Jasper in the holding role.

With all the injuries we might be forced to go full crazy mode and play Osvaldo Rodriguez and Lambert from the start. Hopefully Morgan is back in.

I seriously hope we don't go three up front against City. It could get pretty nasty if we do. Have to hope that Schneiderlin is fit, I think someone said he was only left out last night as a precaution. If so, I would play;

Even so, I can't really see anything but a big city win. They are in scintillating form ATM.
 
Seems almost impossible to predict the team for this, or even say who we'd like to play. Worst case scenario Boruc, SKD, Morgan, Vic, Clyne, Fonte, Lallana, Gaston, Guly, Fox all out. We'd probably have to go with.

Which is way too lightweight and too attacking team. Not sure what else we could do about that though? Even just having Morgan back for Saturday would make a hige difference I think. Fingers crossed.

Only on the bench.<wah> I saved a last minute penalty last night for my 6 a side team.

I'm not. I play anywhere but CB. I **** up at CB. You should be there because of your height.
