Would be nice to keep the same team that finished against Krasnador, but another crowded period so Frank will make changes I expect.
    suggested Team.
    Mendy
    James Silva Rudiger Chilwell
    Kante Kovacic
    Mount
    Ziyech CHO
    Abrahams
Subs Dave, Tomori, Jorginho, Pulisic, Giroud, Emerson, Kepa, Havertz

Subs early in 2nd half please, not with 10 mins left on the clock.

Frank surprised me by going with possibly his strongest line up and not resting anyone.
However, no Jorginho, and the whole team took a big step up. Mount, Havertz and Kante were just great together, Ziyech and Werner showed just how classy they are, and all the back 4 were impressive, Silva is a master of his craft and just the leader we have needed at the back. With more talent injured or sitting among the subs, this week has seen everyone start to and then keep on forming partnerships and playing with more fluidity and intent. A great week for everyone in the squad.
PS Tammy Abraham played really well and looks better suited to that line up. His assist play and running off the ball was really good and just what we need.

True, tougher games to come, but really positive signs that the teamwork is starting to come. Kante in this best position makes such a difference.

    He played really well.

I've never seen him play that position before, a DM in a midfield of 3 with two no 8s ahead of him.

When have you seen him play that role before?

Make no mistake, Burnley, with or without the crowd, are no pushovers. They’re solid defensively and usually good for a couple of goals but we marshalled them well. Even when they have a dominant period we looked organised and resilient.
Things seem to be clicking, especially up front and there was a great deal more cohesiveness worth the side as a whole. It appears Frank has found the right formation and players within it.
Werner is just sheer class. An absolute other level to strikers we’ve had recently and available elsewhere in the premier league. He’ll go down as a great for us and win us many titles.

Just can't quite get into the "New" football at the moment,so weird with empty stadiums. Is an away game really an away
game at the moment?....Anyway mostly pleased with what i've seen so far, especially the new keeper. Our attacking players
are as good as any in this league and hopefully the defenders won't let them down too often!
Silva needs to be well looked after and hopefully our other centre backs can learn from him.

Not with 2 no 8s in front, but as a deep DM he often plays that role for France, sometimes with Pogba, who does most of the attacking , leaving Kante to the defensive role. His ability to cover side to side defence in front of back 4 , while also linking with more forward attacking mids is unique.

Kante is at his very best alongside a static DM like Matic. Playing box to box CM he can rampage around field and break up play, make interceptions and feed creative players while the DM sits.

    Ditto Leicester alongside Drinkwater

I am sure he can play DM well too. Always thought he has to sit too deep to accommodate Pog so France does not see his very best

Interesting how people see things differently, I thought his display behind the 2 x 8s was his best for us in ages, plus the midfield was joined to the back four as well as the front 3, and the 2 x 8s themselves joined the attack. Not seen that kind of fluid play at the Bridge for a hell of a long time.

I agree, it was Kante’s best game in ages and he can certainly adapt to that new position
