SB just said on Tiger p[layer that the reason Fathi is not getting a start, is that he is a defensive full back or wing back, and basically Elmo is keeping him out of the side. So unlikely he will be put in the middle, unless there is no other alternative. SB also said Quinn and Evan will start, and Bruce will obviously drop back into the defense.
Gedo's tweeted that he's injured, so looks like Simmo will be starting! Makes the bench look very thin, I think we were down to the last 7 players anyway, maybe Margetts/Clarkson on the bench tomorrow, or even Fryatt a week early?
What about those of us who have watched him play for Egypt and watched full games where he;s played for Al Ahly? He's definitely a handful. Although I think Messi is world class, and I've never seen him play in the flesh either

Have we got anyone in the reserves who could make any kind of an impact as striker.? Boyd/Simpson/Proschwitz....maybe Brady for 20 minutes. He's got pace/movement/and can strike the ball. And Rossy could fill in as LWB.

Emerton is the invisible man, I doubt it will be him. Margetts bangs a few in, maybe we'll bung him in.
He's on a long term loan until the end of the season, so we can't recall him, not sure whether we can Cam Stewart though. I think McLean's injured anyway, I saw something on Twitter about a groin injury.
Stewart's on emergency loan and has been for over 28 days, so probably could be recalled. But he won't be.
